Although I would consider general to specific more of a manifestation of the
direction of cure than the opposite....

Venkat,
Splitting the symptom is interesting. Would you only use a
Boenninghausen rep, or would any one do?
Thanks,

Carol,
If the remedy worked and there was a return of old symptoms... why change the remedy? I would redose the Puls.

Hi Carol,
My impression might be mistaken, but this sounds like a lot of remedies
in a short period of time. Which could make it hard to sort out just
what's happening, and could start to exaggerate your responses, I
think?

One thing to look at, in deciding whether it's moving in a healing
direction or not (and maybe therefore whether to repeat Puls) is to
think, are you *overall* in a better shape now, versus when you had the
moving mouth pains? Do you *feel* better, and generally function
better (sleep, food, work, whatever) in one situation versus the other?

Even if / tho the hemorrhoids have come up in response to remedies, it
seems they are worth including in your repertorizing, because evidently
it's an area of susceptibility.

What I like to do, when I'm not certain about a remedy, is to try it in
a low potency (I like 6 and 12), esp. in water dose. For me that
potency works very nicely even on M/E and/or chronic issues; just has
to be repeated anywhere from daily to weekly (at least that's been my
range thus far.-- Of course for an acute or acute-type situation, you'd
probably be repeating at least several times in a day.)

Hi Carol

A remedy that might be worth looking at for haemorrhoids that appear after your screaming episode, is Causticum.

This remedy in fact has a rubric:

RECTUM - HEMORRHOIDS - voice; from straining
What is worth noting about this remedy in your situation is that it is also covered in being startled easily, easily frightened and generally haemorrhoids from mental exertion.

On another note, it sounds from what you wrote, as if you could be burdened with what may be unconscious tensions/issues or you may be aware of them, and you may benefit from receiving some assistance in that area.

So, you could be currently in say a Causticum state, but you might often be in one or even chronically, and it would be helpful to address why that might be rather than just treating the symptoms that manifest due to that underlying cause.
Re screaming when startled.

To me being startled is being startled, no matter how violent it is. It is like it is a continuum and a mild startle will be on one end and a violent on or a hyper response on the other. An acute for one of those situations, that sometimes can balance a person is one of the obvious startle rems, eg., Stram, and Bell, which each have their special indications though. And then there is Ignatia with its ‘hysteria’ and being easily frightened – however the response of shrieking or screaming is not found so much in the Ignatia state.

Well..i'm the patient. Here is my story:

I had issues in my jaw/teeth/mouth/glands that kept moving around..from left
to right and back...from the glands up to the ear..then just both molars on
both lower teeth...always worse at night. Felt fine in the morning. I took
this and that ...merc/heckla/sul...with some relief and finally settled on the
pulsatilla cause of the changing nature of the issues. The whole drama
settled down..and a couple of weeks later..an old symptom of screaming when
startled returned. I would be sitting reading, concentrating on something and
someone would enter the room quietly and i would turn to look, not expecting
to see anyone...and it was one long very loud scream. I wrenched my back from
that scream but what is worse..the next morning i had protruding
hemmorrhoids...which i hadn't had for the last 25 years..and when i did have
them..they came from taking homeopathic remedies. Of course, i can't remember
what those remedies were now...but this has made it painful to move around or
sit.

I did look at the boeninghausen books under shrieking and startled and hems.
i took nux 30c which had helped with other issues..and impatient that i am..i
also took sulphur cause another symptom of toes spasming had come back. I
said to myself..what would my dead homepathic doctor give me. And i settled on
200c calc carb. I had recently started eating eggs for breakfast every morning
and thought maybe that contributed to this. I have thought to go back to the
pulsatilla...but i'm not sure what dose to take and i don't want to go back to
the mouth problems. Somehow i think they are related...inflammation of some
kind...swollen veins...though in my mouth it was just a feeling of being
swollen. Of course the whole thing could be from the huge huge scream which
pushed everything outward ..muscles and all. I don't know why i'm tense like
that that i would scream. I think there was a tremendous amount of tension in
my jaw and the pulsatilla generalized it to the extreme sensitivity in my
body. I think that is a healing response..right? Going from specific pain to
generalized?

So i've taken the sitz baths and eaten a pound or so of green beans and i'm
going to go out and buy some hammelis lotion. Other than that and waiting i
haven't go a clue.

Haemorrhoids are the result of a Vitamin B6 deficiency. (I'd suggest
50 to 100mg twice a day till resolved, then drop to 25 mg a day.)

Interestingly, B6 is also a nerve nutrient, which works in
combination with magnesium for nerves, and each of which needs
presence of the other for proper absorption.

Coffee and most allopathic drugs destroy B6, and it is used up in
stressful situations too, so it is easy to run low.

Namaste,

btw, the fda just declared vit b6 a toxic drug to be removed from the market--
unless, of course, it is the synthetic made by the big pharma corps.
