cold treatment

My wife was sick with cold since Tuesday, Feb. 10th. She had a
spasmodic cough beginning in the middle of the chest, but it was not
too intensive. She got Bryonia 6C and Nux Vom. 6C every three hours.
Her general condition, overall energy level became better, but
Wednesday evening she had fever 101.2F

On Thursday she took remedies every two hours. Again her general condition was good, fever in the evening lower.
Friday she went back to taking them every three hours, and almost no fever in the evening. She rubbed her chest with vicks like ointment.

But today Saturday morning she had a transparent discharge from her nose and often sneezing. Usually her cough goes deeper into bronchi and becomes very deep, but this time it went up and turned into running nose with sneezing.

Any recommendations how to continue the course of treatment?

Maybe vicks antidoted?
Never give 2 remedies at a time , it will make evaluation more difficult

Well I have just the cold with the sneezing and runny nose. I look on a
cold as toxins coming out so I only take Echinacea and Vitamin C in
high doses. When my nose and sinuses are clogged up I am getting relief
from Combination Q Cell salts for colds, catarrh and sinus. I would
never try to suppress and a cold discharging.

Thanks very much to everybody who responded to my request. It was a

great help, your recommendations, but also your participation.
More details: yesterday it looked like a powerful cleansing reaction.
Sneezing, discharge from nose (transparent), intense tearing

(transparent) and diarrhea (two, three times then it stopped).

Then her condition stabilized. Tearing, running nose reduced

significantly, sneezing remained but less often.

I checked all the remedies you recommended. Nothing fit perfectly.

But Saturday night I gave her Ars. Alb 6c and also twice a day on

Sunday. It was worse in the morning, and better during the day and in

the evening (no fever).
The symptoms are better. And general condition, energy, appetite are

good.

I can add to the symptoms dryness of lips (always, but more now),

never likes to be covered with blanket (only sheet).
And one peculiar symptom about sneezing which I have never seen:

Sneezing begins with tickling (almost like bursting) in the nose, then

goes up to the sinuses, then to the forehead, and even up to the hair!

Looks special, but I did not find it in Kent's repertory.

I wonder if a "neti pot" (sinus flush) would help her get past the
nasal and eye drainage quicker? It does sound like "direction of
cure"--cleansing reaction.
