I recently spoke to a woman who is herself not very tall. She says her mother's family were short, her mother is shorter than she is. She is very concerned about her daughters, one daughter in particular, who are very short.
In general the daughters develop on schedule, menses fairly regular and starting around 13, but they either start off and continue below normal height for their age, or they grow well till around age 15 and then stop.
I haven't yet seen the children, especially since I don't know if I can offer treatment here for the height issue. It seems very much a question of genetics, but on the other hand perhaps a miasmatic approach would be relevant.
The specific daughter she spoke to me about is 14 and looks like she's 10. She's had an x-ray of her hand, and the doctors have "no-hoped" the case. She's very upset about being so small for her age, and is reserved in personality.
Another daughter is 10 and looks like she's 6 (seems to be a 4 year pattern here!). This daughter is different in personality, and announces that she's proud to be small!
The mother reports that the kids eat well, and she doesn't believe there's a nutrition issue. However, there are a lot of kids (12!), the family is not wealthy and so it's possible that they aren't getting enough protein. The father is also not tall, but he is the shortest in his family, so it looks like if there is something hereditary here it's going through the mother's maternal line.
The kids are all generally in good health.
If anyone has any input I'd be interested to hear! I'm not taking this on as a case yet, but may do just to see if something can be done.
Regards,
Vera

Re: can you fight genetics with homeopathy?
..............
Shortness is a dominant major autosomal gene in humans.
In English:
Dominant = Of the two genes we have for height, if there is even one
short one the person will be short. To be tall requires TWo genes for
tallness, one from each parent.
Major = a gene for a strong characteristic that has various options
as opposed to a gene for intensity of something such as HOW tall a
tall person is.
Autosomal = on a regular (not sex) chromosome so inherited equally
in male and female.
Consequently in your family, genetically speaking:
They sound like they all have two tall genes as there is nobody tall
in a few generations.
Tall genes can hide but usually not for more than 2 or 3 generations
provided you check out all siblings at each generation, not just
parents, grandparents, etc.
After that you get intensity "polygenes" for intensity of shortnes
or tallness -= which say HOW short the shortnes will be.
Unfortunately theswe will tend to keep intensifying the shortnes,
unles someone marries a SUPERTALL person.(an intyensely tall person
genetically speaking)
The extremes seen here are those that cat and dog breeders use and
manipulate - to get chihuahuas or great danes.
Chihuahua plus chihuahua will not produce a great dane however...
So genetically this is fixed, and I do not see homeopathy changing it
as homeopathy is helpful in restoring normal. This is not abnormal -
it is just a specific selection of normal genes that happens to code
for short folks.
In other words in a family of all short people for a few generations
considering all siblings of all members - chances of a tall or
average person are very small indeed. A few small increases can come
from nutrition improvements and the overall trend to increased
polygenes. It is why antique doorways are so small.
But we are stuck with the rules of major gene inheritance - they are
there or not there.
In this case only shortness genes are there. No tall genes to implement.
In MY family - my grandmothers were both tall - but I am the only
tall one in my generation.
This is enough to introduce tall polygenes as well as tall major genes.
Thus it is not a surprise to me that my sons are 6 foot ten, and my
mother was under five foot.
It fits the above gene rules.
I would expect homeopathy to help where shortness was nutritional or
due to illness, but not where it is "normal"
as here. How is the remedy supposed to know that you want to be
taller and not shorter:-)
Namaste,
Irene
