PSORIASIS

Post by Dr. Atiq »

Hi everyone.
I wonder if anyone has experience in treating Psoriasis successfully?
I could do with some valuable advice in this instance on whether vitamins, creams or other items are worth considering………..

Very high dose Vitamin Bs and Sarsparilla for 3 months will give
symptomatic relief for a lot of people - but I don't think it has a
curative effect.

Hi Atiq,
Here are some posts I've saved; maybe something there will be of use to
you.
Best wishes,

Oregan Mountain Grape is a great herb for Psoriasis but don't forget
the others such as yellow dock, nettles and specifically Licorice which
has properties such as glycerrcic acid which acts a natural cortisone.
These obviously are used topically in a cream base.

I've had pretty good results from Calc, Staph and Caust - given as constitutionals. I've also found that detective work is necessary to see if px is using cosmetic soaps, creams etc. that could be making the situation worse.

I’ve had success treating constitutionally. Especially helpful is Dr. Ramakrishnan’s technique of alternating the constitutional remedy with a nosode (depending on the miasm – for a tubercular case, you’d use Bacillinum rather than Tuberculinum).
Psoriasis is not an easy disease to cure, so be prepared for a long haul. Most cases tend to be better in the summer but get progressively worse as the days shorten and winter comes on, so be prepared for a certain amount of seasonal “amelioration.” I have one case that’s been going on for two years, getting slowly better. Still has forms large plaques, but now has no discomfort from them, and the areas affected are much, much less. There is a “maintaining cause” in this particular case: the patient likes his evening cocktails and will not give them up. Alcohol is known to exacerbate psoriasis.
Peace,

Dale

I have also had success with psoriasis a few times.. The most amazing one was a woman who has had it for 40 years. Within 2 years it had gone completely. We started with a 30 C and eventually ended up with a 10M. With this woman hers was > for sea water and she got a lot of relief was put dead sea salts into her bath water. The Remedy was Sepia which suited her constitution. She never had any other remedy.
Another one was a child whose father has had it all his life. Her's went away using a water potency in 30C daily of a constitutional remedy. I had treated her with Calc most of her life but it was Pulsatilla that got rid of the psoriasis.
