Does this ring any bells?

Post by Rochelle »

Eczema in a child

>
Obviously I will take a full case history for the new patient who is coming next week but really it is the first quote that interested me. Mum has agreed to try homeopathy for 6 months before the child is put on light therapy and immunosuppressant drugs as everything else has been tried. Mum thinks the child may be ADHD as well.
Thanks

Sounds like Lyssinum on the face of it.. hypersensitivity, itching
whole night , sleeplessness - Rajan also published a similar case, I
have tried this before in similar cases

could also be some Ars there- anxiety

stressful situations and a lot of it is from learnt behaviour. Her
body has obviously realised that it feels good to scratch.... faced
with being told off, having to pick up her shoes, waking up in the
night... her brain tells her to scratch!!!!! Our main problem is her
sleep. She will go to sleep fine but she has never had a restful
nights sleep. Since she was a baby, the first 2 or 3 hours are
restful but after that, her sleep is very very disturbed with
scratching, whimpering, wriggling etc . She woke this morning and
her face was swollen, her eyes and neck look like red leather, >>

Thank you for that suggestion. Mum postponed the consultation until dad comes home in a couple of weeks because he wants to come as well which is fine by me!!
