Successful treatment of oxyuris vermicularis in an adult

Post by d_barbara_hamilton »

Hello and thanks for everyone's input on the previous question re NDE's.

This one is much more difficult, as this is a 20 year old female who has had homeopathic
treatment from approximately 5 years old, but who has probably only had one or two years
free of thread (or pin) worms. At the moment it seems to be completely out of control, and
she reports they are not only relocating to her vagina, but also her urethra (which is giving a
sensation of urging not unlike that of cystitis).

Has anyone ever completely eradicated this infestation in similar circumstances. I know
Clarke refers to Burnetts discovery that a 'clear out' occurred after administering Scirrhinum,
and I'm prepared to repeat this (apparently this was prescribed when a youngster), but what
hasn't been addressed it seems is her susceptibility to them in the first place.

She is a very Sulphur-based px, but also very carcinogenic miasmatically. She has had both
without change. I would like to say more, but without full permission as yet, I thought I'd
make an initial enquiry to see if the wealth of experience out there comes up trumps once
again. :-)

Hello
These worms thrive in an acidic gut and they effectively "farm" their environment by causing food craving eg sugar, fruit, alcohol etc. Diet is therefore very important.
Nat phos can help to alter the acidic environment. I have used both tissue salts and 30c effectively in recurrent cases where indicated remedies do not hold. I have also found the bowel nosode gaertner very effective in stubborn cases for both adults and children.
Best wishes

Hi Carol,

Thank you for this - she does have a sweet tooth...especially for effervescent drinks.

Great protocol, I may give it a whirl with the Nat.phos again (although apparently she has
done it before, but only in tissue salts). Also had the Gaertner amongst one of her very
first prescriptions I believe, along with Cina, Santoninum, etc., but I'm prepared to go
through the treatments again in case something was missed, or not given for long
enough.

Many thanks !
