CLARIFICATION - Change.org Making Health FreedomNo. 1

Post by Tanya Marquette »

carol,
my understanding is that this was set up by the obama transition team to organize
public input. but i, too, have had difficulty with the site on different occasions. but
lets keep trying to get our voices into the mix.
i joined a local 'action team' on health care and am in the midst of a similar battle.
some of the people think that they need to follow the direction of the obama team
which is directing people to work with his insurance model for health insurance.
others are acting like its a competition for what ideas get sent in; ie, better coverage
for drug taking people vs health freedom access.
frustrating, but not surprising.

Absolutely Tanya - have been putting my two pence worth in as and when ever I can - just didn't want you to get side tracked by the change.org like I and others did - they are a completely different group - nothing to do with Obama - been going since 2005 and the site since 2007.

Change.gov is the Obama team and I sent in my report from my health meeting - yes the level of misinformation is astonishing - but I take comfort from Tom Daschle writing a book in which all the stuff we discuss about the vested interests and the stranglehold on what passes for "medicine" is listed as a given - as in he knows the score and calls for change.

Keep on keeping on.

Carol
