thanks for the post. went to the post and added my votes as well as a general health questions
about dismantling the FDA & USDA.
don't know how long this question period will last but the community health action teams have
only 2 weeks to organize and send in a report. btw, these action teams have received an organized
package from the transition team which, as expected, controls and directs the discussion.. I had
a bit of a struggle with the group of 10 that i met with this past sunday in order to broaden the perspective
and include larger causes of the problems.

Re: Obama Team wants to hear your opinions on healthcare (and otherissues)
I don't know about what can and cannot be done in the USA, but it seems
that there is plenty of room for a PFDA (People's FDA), which could gain
public confidence in a number of years because of sensible and reliable
advice and jugdement. As a result, it could rule out the (C)FDA (C for
company-influenced, conservative, commercial, or whatever).
Such a PFDA might even issue minority and majority advices, that is,
strict or less strict judgements, and evaluate results of both types.
And to gain such confidence, it should *always* do better than the
regular FDA, in all respects (which actually seems not a very difficult
task).
