Re sac lac

I'm NOT a practitioner, just a fan.

Re sac lac (discussed currently in the correspondence between Russell
Swift and Rochelle), there seem to be two theories:
1) it's dishonest
2) it's a remedy, i.e., a placebo is a remedy, is curative or helpful in
some situations.

That it's a remedy makes sense to me, considering how many studies have
been done showing improvement using placebos. The mind helping to heal by
accepting the placebo as healing, perhaps. Telling the patient sac lac is an
interim remedy and can be taken as often as needed is the truth, it seems to
me.
