receding gums

Post by tg.partington »

Does anyone have any advice on treating this condition? I believe vets
sometimes use fragaria but.....? (That is vets as in animal doctors!)

Hi Theresa,
That's been a biggie for me :-) and I think it's very much part of the
constitutional case. One relevant rubric is:

Mouth; DETACHED; GUMS, from teeth (l, 73, 5-8) (73) : Alco-s., alum.,
alumn., Am-c., Ant-c., arg., Arg-n., Arn., Ars., Aur-m-n., bacch-a.,
Bapt., bar-c., bar-i., bar-s., bov., brom., bufo, Calc., calcul-r.,
Camph., Caps., CARB-V., carc., caust., chin., chlam-t., Cist., coch-o.,
colch., cupr., Dulc., ECHI., form-ac., gink., gran., Graph., Hep.,
Iod., Kali-c., Kali-i., KALI-P., kola., Kreos., lac-c., lach., MERC.,
Merc-c., merc-v., mez., Nast., nat-c., Nat-s., nit-ac., Nux-v., par.,
PH-AC., Phos., plb., psor., Rat., Rhod., rhus-t., sep., SIL., sil-mar.,
Staph., sul-i., SULPH., SYMPH., ter., thuj., Zinc.

Interesting that fragaria isn't in that rubric, but it certainly makes
sense that reducing tartar could reduce inflammation.

Non-homeopathically, the things that have turned the tide for me
(during my sadly long "looking for constitutional" interludes) were
Vitamin C--LOTS! and Coenzyme Q-10. C alone was sufficient at first,
then years later needed Co-Q10 also. Some time after that I started
taking Ashwagandha, and when taking it, do not need either any C or any
Co-Q10. I don't know whether that's peculiar to me, or not.

Best wishes,
Shannon
