Dear minutus list,
Logistical planning is an important consideration. I have tried many
variations, setting up my office and schedule with the proper resources
for myself and educational information (i.e instructions on how to take
the remedy etc.) to create an effective partnership with those who come
for help. In my case I have integrated psychotherapy with homeopathy and
this in itself presents somewhat of a different context (I see people
every three weeks on the average). Over the past two years I would say
that after determining a remedy with much time looking at tempererament,
constitution and family legacy (psychotherapy process does allow for
more paced dialogue) I have used a test dose of liquid posology ( mostly
LMs but also C's) with a report back after four days (usually a five
minute follow-up call). I see aprox thirty cases per week with a active
case load of about 150. My records indicate that with every case being
based on individual considerations, regardless, the mean repitition of
dose is every four days (variations from 1x every three days, five days,
7 days, 10 days, 14 days or more in some cases). There seems to develop
a personal need/syncrony and usually the need to decrease the amount of
doses occurs as sxs decrease. There was obviously trial and error and
there probably will be much more of that on my part, but it is managable
and depends much on our own temperaments and attitudes and context of
our practice. However the personable and effective results from
partnership and collaboration rather than what may be just
practitioner's logistics needs seems to make it worthwhile. I would be
interested in hearing of other logistical narratives since there is much
in our practice that depends on our attitudes, interpersonal styles, and
needs which sometimes influences our views on how to practice and
prescribe.....
Sincerely,
Ken
