Homeopathy is finding itself under regular attack by the Media. The
attacks are probably being orchestrated by the rich and powerful
pharmaceutical companies who see Homeopathy as a threat to their
profits.
Homeopathy cannot counter these attacks by using similar tactics - we
do not have the same influence in the media, who will often ignore
us, and/or deny us the right of reply. So we have to find different
means.
Recently the ARH has launched a new e-group in order to utilise the
collective knowledge and energy of the homeopathic community to
present honest and accurate information about homeopathy to the
public through the media.
THIS IS AN INVITATION TO YOU TO JOIN US.
The group is open to anyone who has a positive attitude to
homeopathy, and wants to help improve the coverage it receives in the
UK media.
OBJECTIVES OF THE MEDIA GROUP
- to share and offer support and guidance between members about the
way homeopathy can best be presented to the public in the local and
national media.
- to encourage and utilise the widest possible participation of the
homeopathic community in presenting accurate and honest information
to the public.
- to develop an accurate and updated information base on people known
regularly to attack homeopathy.
WHAT THE MEDIA GROUP WILL DO
The Media Group will
- produce pro-active news releases that confirms homeopathy to be a
safe and effective medical therapy.
- when possible, to alert and give advanced notice to members of any
forthcoming media attack to enable the organisation of quick and
appropriate responses.
- report any media attack on homeopathy members have seen, and to
organise an effective media response.
- encourage members to respond to attacks on homeopathy in both the
local and national media.
- offer group members considered pro-forma responses to particular
attacks.
The group is be open to people who support homeopathy, and are
willing to spend some time in contact with the media about issues
relating to homeopathy - at whatever level.
If you would like to know what it is all about, have a look at our
website, at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ARH-Media/ If you
would like to join, either do so directly from the site, or write
back to me and I will add you name to the list.

Re: Homeopathy Media Group
Hi Steve,
As this is such an international group, it is worth mentioning that The Homeopathy Media
Group is a UK based initiative, and ARH stands for Alliance of Registered Homeopaths.
Lat year, Soroush, the moderator of this group, invited Ben Goldacre and several other
skeptics to be part of a proving. Ben declined, saying that he did not want to become ill as
a result of taking homeopathic remedies. This is from someone who writes about
homeopathy with such derision. Grace
