Patient 35 weeks pregnant came in this morning wanting to discuss birth remedies. She mentioned she had SPD - symphysis pubic dysfunction. Now I normally send patients with this to my osteopath who does an excellent job before and after the birth but I wondered if there were any remedies that I could consider. All I can find is:-
Generalities; bones; sutures or symphysis: (2) CALC-P, des-ac,
Pregnancy; PELVIS, bones, as if, were getting loose, pregnancy; sacro-illiac symphysis gives out walking, must sit down, feels best lying (1) aesc,
Has anyone given Calc Phos in any potency and had any success with this? I wondered about it in a tissue salt?

Re: Pelvic separation
Always thought Trillium Pendulum was thought of in this condition. It reads in Vermeulen 'relaxation of pelvic region' and as I remember more comfortable for bandaging??/. Have not found a rubric containing it yet. I have used it several times but always wary of possible bleeding which is in the provings. I believe may have been an article in Links once something about Intellect and will?/, FWIW Jean
Re: Pelvic separation
Interesting. Thanks. I don't think I would risk giving it to a pregnant woman then!!!

Re: Pelvic separation
Rochelle, i would really stick to constitutional rx. i've had
something similar with both pregnancies and there's nothing like a
constitutional rx to do the trick (each pregnancy with a different
rx). good luck, kali
