I don't know if this is the issue or not, but I'm struck by:
[...] the claim that during testing "all eight
Okay, it says the *strengths*--in other words, the *potencies*. Here
in the US, the health food store potencies are usually 6c and/or
30c--*not* what I would choose to use after surgery! Personally, after
anything serious (including the one time I used it after a knee
surgery) 30 is not effective (maybe with enough "plussing up"??), but
200 is, and 1M is (at least was for me) better.
So the issue would be potency, not brand or anything else.
As for the price
welcome to the world of "double-blind testing
replaces common sense and common experience"... (And welcome to
CODEX.)
Yeah--*not* the only one that's been repeatedly *seen* to be effective,
but so far the only one "clinically proven."
One reason, because they still have clients for it, because it still
works.
Their products are very good. But certainly others are too.
Most remedies don't have indications that are both as (generally)
straightforward *and* as non-threatening as arnica. There's not
exactly a huge industry built up around reducing bruising and speeding
healing time!
Now yes to that!! For those who insist that homeopathy is only placebo
etc., I suppose this is a piece of contrary evidence. (Since anything
involving "trying it" and personal experience is "anecdotal" and
therefor doesn't count!)

i think the question about potency is valid.
however, the hype is that you cannot buy in health food stores
or anyplace on your own. you can only buy this price inflated
product from your 'trusted' allopath. this is soooooo typical
of the attacks on the public's right to think and chose for themselves.

Yep, it sure is. But it's not different from the constant messages
that the best (and "they" would say only) fix for *anything* is
something patented, some drug.
But re the arnica, once you note that the issue is "strength" aka
"potency", it's not difficult to simply find somewhere that you *can*
get the higher strength. But anyone with enough experience to be
taking on post-surgical treatment would surely have easy sources for
the higher potencies.
It is a shame, tho, that it wasn't made plain that it's a simple matter
of appropriate potency (easily solved)--oh, and they say "dosage
regimen"--I can't imagine what else would be involved, other than
"repeat when symptoms begin to return"...
I would think that if SINECCH were actually any different from other
Arnica preparations, that it would not fit the HPUS definition for
homeopathic Arnica, would it??
It's maybe not an entirely bad thing to have them "playing the game" in
this way... For "we who are in-the-know"
it's not difficult to
know what to do--the same as we've *been* doing! And for those who've
been inclined to dismiss homeopathy as placebo, *perhaps* this would be
more convincing to at least some. If they're even watching, sigh...

Re: [Health_and_Healing] SINECCH/THE ONLY EFFECTIVE ARNICA MONTANA
my concern is the cooptation that goes on and the controlling
nature of allopathy. i always have an image in my mind of andrew
weil on tv promoting holistic healing as long as it is controlled by
doctors! and since doctors are controlled by drug companies and
insurance companies and the flunky ama, i don't share your
optimism. it would be nice, but it is not realistic--not in this current
world of ours.
