Have you considered Calc Silicata? It's a great remedy for intense, deep acne, especially in teenagers. Sankaran talks about the need to maintain an image in this remedy and that's a bit of how you decribed this nice-sounding young man who works very hard, wears a suit well, and is a bit anxious in performance situations (as he described his football anxiety). Finally, there doesn't seem to be too much pathology there, except in the acne itself -- in such cases as this I feel less opposed to prescribe therapeautically.

Thanks Beth for your suggestion. The only time I have prescribed Calc Sil is when a patient has been speaking to the dead!! I will do some research on it!! I agree that there is no real pathology. I have started him off with Hepar 6 for a few days to see if it does anything to the horrid pus filled spots. He is meant to contact me a couple of days.
