Injured duck

Tonight our ducks, newly free-ranging, strayed too close to our dog, who snagged one. The result is one young duck with a broken wing and a gash along her right side, seemingly superficial.
I toweled her, gave her Arnica 200c for the shock, and put her in a small cage with fresh straw and water. If she survives the night, I plan to wash with Hypercal lotion and dress her wound -- but what to do about the wing?
I don't think setting it is an option (though I didn't examine the wing too closely for fear of further traumatizing her). I'd be tempted to bind it to her body with gauze, except that might interfere with the healing of the gash, which is beneath the wing.
Anyone have experience with treating injured fowl?

why dont you contact an animal rescue person. they are very good at dealing with
injured birds before releasing them back into the wild. you can usually find them listed
in the yellow pages or call the DEC for referrals.

Suggestions...Aconite? for shock...Ledum? for bite wound...Symphytum? for bone/wound healing. Also suggest distilled Witch Hazel...sorry not homeopathic...to draw the poisons out.

Many thanks to all who replied to my message about our duck. He did survive the night, but the break was a nasty compound fracture, with the wing barely hanging on. I cleaned and dressed his wound and strapped his wing to his body with gauze. That worked for a few hours -- until he decided to go wading in his water bowl. It was impossible to redress the wound (short of anesthetizing him!).
We ended up putting the duck down. He never would have fit back into the flock, and we were afraid he would be pecked by the others.
