(Minutus)Full of HALF Knoledge

Post by medmidas »

Troll, Trole, fishing, bite, nybble is all half knowledge.
It will be rather nice to keep half knowledge to themselves,
than to express it to confuse members & loose popularity.

Coming to the computers, in this context, there are only following words
standardized.
There is no slang/style/fashion involved here.

BIT is an abbreviation for "Binary Digit" (A single digit)
BYTE is "A set of 8 bits"
=========================
The word bite is non existent in computers, & therefore byte can't be a
slang for bite.
===============================
Phising is the right word for computer miscreants who exploit it for
siphoning out
details of accounts & passwords for evil purposes.
==================================
The word fishing is non existent in computers.
==================================
It will be very nice of the people with half knowledge,
to keep it to themselves & not confuse group members.

Also the sarcasm with a smiley "Did you look in the mirror when writing
that:-)" etc.
is rather indecent, will be very nice if people can be decent with members.

However - Not really. They are usually people who like fishing.
The computer miscreant is better spelled trole:-)

It is traditional to use a new spelling for computer terms - for
example byte rather than bite,
nybble rather than nibble, and so - we should use trole rather than
troll:-)

Namaste,
Irene
