Just spoken to the person who said they are going to remove the cyst and then shave a bit of the bone away. Now this is an option I couldn't find on the web. She is also being kept in the hospital for 5 days which surprises me as well. Does anyone know anything about this operation?

And I would never have an op without Arnica before it.
It prevents shock (major importance) and prevents bleeding (minor
importance in modern surgery)

Prove it!

I worked in surgery daily for two years, and only saw arnica PREVENT
bleeding and more importantly, prevent shock under anesthetic.
(average 5 surgeries a day - all using ARNICA - potency chosen
according to seriousness of case, between 30C, most often 200C, and
severe cases like 7 hour surgery after car accident, 1M or 10M.)

If *you* saw bleeding after arnica was used, it was likely bleeding
too badly for the arnica to stop it - never caused by arnica. That
does not even follow the Law of Similars. If there is bleeding, (and
there always is some in surgery) then arnica is a match to help stop it!

If the surgeon nicks a major vessel, no amount of arnica is going to
stop that from bleeding - you'd need pressure and calendula tincture
and sutures if for some reason the cautery tool was out of power.

So - DO use arnica before surgery. A lot of deaths from surgical
shock ALL can be prevented by using arnica before surgery.
As for the bleeding story - I find nobody can ever produce an actual
case for this urban legend - they are just stories. Anyone who ever
assisted in a surgery knows that bleeding is stopped by simple
cautery of the bleeder. It's not the dark ages. The arnica is to
prevent shock - the bleeding matter is secondary (though also useful).

Please describe how you KNOW that arnica caused bleeding?

I have to say after my own experience I'd be looking for a different
cause for any bleeding seen - and assuming the arnica was not enough
to stop it.
Were you in the surgery to see what happened?

Ah yes - that is easier to believe -- it asks for a proving.
I've always dosed within 12 hrs of the surgery, often right before
the surgery.
(Working at a vet clinic)

Can not prove it, but dont see a reason to do it.on the vithoulkas site there is a video with him talking about that. Maybe it interests you.
