Dear Feras,
You have brought up an excellent point. Most of us
ascend in potency as a matter of course, but as your
quote indicates, the essential issue for Hahnemann was
to *change* potency. A colleague of mine had a case
which had responded well for a time to a 30c of
Causticum, and was frustrated that the 200 and even 1M
did nothing. All was put right with a dose of 15c.
It would be great if people could share their
experiences or other literature which would add to our
understanding of the indications to go down rather
than up.
Regards,
Tracy

Another reason that Hahnemann developed and strenously recommended liquid
posology.
Minute adjustments to dynamization (analogous to potency) take place at each
dose; moreover- these can be controlled/adjusted in any of at least three
different ways, to suit each individual's sensitivity and response.
