An excellent point. Homeopathy should not be considered as or
compared with a physical commodity. It is not the same as purchasing
a physical item that works or does not work and can be returned for
full refund if it is found not to work. It is considered as
a 'service'. You can not put a guarantee on a professor's lectures,
an engineer's evaluation, or the result of a hair stylist, etc. These
are services rendered and based on the skill, experience, training,
and even personality of the individual professional. You base your
decision to use that professional based on factors including their
training and experience - but most often based on the results they
have achieved for others (i.e. word of mouth - recommendations).

As to patients point of view - Why wouldn't the same standard apply
as used to evaluate and pay for similar services - dentist, doctor,
psychiatrist, physical therapist, etc. If someone is not happy with
the result - do they feel they should get a full refund? Should the
massage therapist keep working on someone for 4 months without
additional fee because a muscle is still cramping every week after
they cycle? If the client does not have a solid concept of the
process of homeopathic consultation, remedies, feedback, and healing -
then perhaps we need to become better communicators about the
process. This is certainly something I never have seen covered in
homeopathic school curriculum or in professional seminars.

Hi Donna,
I do not know what standards should apply.I have given the point of
view of patients as I came across them on the lists and in personal
discussions. Whether they are right or not I do not know.

Also - I have said that I am talking about the point of view of people
in Germany - where just about everyone is covered by insurance - for
dental work only to a degree - for the above treatments. The people I
talked about are not so covered for homeopathy.

But if after dental work the crowns, bridges, protheses do not fit I
think the dentist is supposed to remedy this without extra charge.
