This may be a long shot, but now i'm obsessed...I remember reading about a remedy where the description specifically included aggravations from laying on cold wet ground. It talked about women ("maidens"?) laying babies down on cold wet ground. Reading it immediately made me picture a place like Ireland.
I have found other "cold/damp" remedies, but have not been able to locate the one with this exact description.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gretta,
Maybe this will help?
Rhus Tox:
The nurses take the infants to the park take them out of their carriage and put them down upon the cold damp ground and in a few days the child comes down with infantile paralysis. (Kent)
