bang on the head update

Post by Rochelle »

The last I wrote about this patient who had a bad accident in her car was that he knees were hurting her. I gave her Bellis 200 (July 9th) and the next day she said that the remedy definitely helped as her knees were not creaking anymore. She now has no problem with her knees or the distance she can walk.
However all is still not good with her shoulder where she previously had a metal plate put in after a riding accident. She is not regaining the backward movement in her arms and still finds that it hurts to work at a desk as she can't lean forward . Today she told me :-

"The Physiotherapist said my shoulder muscles have locked because they are so traumatized. When she pressed trigger points it created an inflammation on skin so she gave some pins and needles treatment on a machine which was a current through pads to stimulating the blood flow."

Can anyone think of a remedy which may help with this inflammation she has which is impeding her recovery? I have given her another dose of Bellis 200.

Thanks

Dear Gisa,
Sepia is an interesting one to consider because she is very hypothyroid and takes thyroxine. She is only 33 as well. I will do some reading on Sepia and shoulders!!
She is not really a Staph person as she speaks her mind!!
Thanks

Arnica & Hypericum would be my first choice.

Dear Rochelle
Then have a look at once to the neck in front. If you see there two transverse folds, it can be a reference for Sepia. The folds run parallel to each other. Approximately at height of the thyroid. One a little bit higher, one a little bit lower to the thyroid, about 2 cm from each other removes (depends on size). Especially if the lady takes thyroxine.
Weman who have problems with the thyroid often have large needs, which do not fulfill themselves her (can't be / aint be allowed?). They are so much interested in harmony that they place own desires strongly back. Slowly they come into a large deficit. This deficit is shown by the folds in front of the neck.
Allways I see these folds I ask (lab and patient) for the working of the thyroid. Afterwards for the desires of the lady. Often we look for possibilities to fulfill them.
If the lady is'nt able to lift the arm she can't manage her life; she is anxious to become higher / bigger. If she ignores her desires, she will not grown up. It's the same psychosomatic background. Healing can be found in dissolving the locking of muscels = locking her modesty to manage questions of her own life. But she must be interesting in doing it herself (not by the physiotherapist). She needs the courage for her own desires, interests, prespectives...
Good luck
Gisa

That was very interesting Gabriele - thanks. I don;t think I will be seeing her today as since it is cold miserable and raining I certainly don't want to go for a walk along Southport pier which is what we were planning!!

Thanks but I really do think we are past the Arnica stage now. It did brilliantly when first given.
The Bellis P I gave her last night does seem to have helped as she said she has had more movement in the arm today and no creaking so I shall wait and see what happens now.

Dear Rochelle
The nerves that go to the arms come off from the neck.
The neck is very susceptible to jarring in an RTA. A slight mis-alignment means pain felt in the shoulder and restriction.
The patient may benefit from a visit to an osteopath too.

Dear Soroush,
Yes she is seeing my osteopath weekly and is feeling the benefit. The problem is that she has a metal plate in her shoulder from a riding accident a few years ago and it is because of this that my osteopath thinks it is so inflamed. My osteopath has written to a consultant because she was bothered about it and my friend has to phone tomorrow to make an appointment with him. She is also seeing a physiotherapist because she has to as part of the insurance claim.

rochelle,
this may be off the wall, but i recall a situation with a man who broke his
finger on the job. i gave him arnica followed by symph with instructions
to stay in close touch--which he didn't! what happened was that he
experienced pain throughout his body with the symph. in exploring the
situation he reported that in his youth he had numerous broken bones from
several fights, falls, etc. the pain occurred in every old break which led me
to believe that the body was trying to reset the bones.
so i am wondering in your case, whether the plate in the shoulder is now
being moved by the healing of the remedies and causing pain as it is now
not supporting the shoulder properly?
