Aconite layer?
Is it possible to have a "chronic" aconite layer? Like from birth? Meaning the person presents with all the symptoms of aconite at age 9 but it appears the trauma was just after birth. Everything I read says Aconite is short acting, not a chronic remedy. Would this mean Aconite would clear the layer? Any insight is most welcome. Thanks!

Erica

Re: Aconite layer?
Hi Erica
I am currently working with a case where the individual suffered a series of tremendous shocks, one after the other, over the past number of years. This individual is still living in a state of shock. I have just suggested a dose of aconite and am now waiting to see what type of results we get. I do expect to see a different picture once this layer is removed and they have calmed down

Re: Aconite layer?
Yes, it can!
Here are some relevant things I've saved:
from class notes:
"Chronic picture: "neurotic mental state" assoc. with some causative
event. Can have dizziness, trembling, fainting, numbness, flushes of
heat with all fears. Might be pretty healthy most of the time, but
walk into a situation and have tremendous panic, etc. May wake with
panic. < midnight. May or may not remember the causative event."
And two attachments of old e-mails describing two chronic aconite cases:

Yes, Julie -- I suspect the files were saved on a Mac computer, and are therefore unavailable for PCs. So they'd probably need to be saved in a different format (.doc??)

Hi Erica,
In a seminar by one of our well-known homeopaths (@ Gisa et al:Risch)
he told us: yes - and presented a case where aconitehad cured a woman
of her complaints caused by exposureto cold wind 10 years or so
before.

Re: Aconite layer?
Where it fits, Aconitum napellus is a great chronic remedy, yes.
I've had 2 cases I can remember - and it is my belief that any remedy that
fits on symptoms, is appropriate. I often use what is supposed to be an
"acute" - for a chronic case where it firs well. So I dropped that
prejudice altogether a while ago.
I think calling remedies acute or "short-acting" etc - is short sighted:-)
Namaste,
Irene
