easy bruising?

Isn't there a rubric covering easy (or spontaneous) bruising??
(What's the difference between extravasation and ecchymosis? Not that
either word is giving me anything useful!)

Purpura
hemorrhage ( bleeding ) into the skin , mucous membrane s, internal organ s, and other tissues
Purpura are larger areas of bleeding into the skin that begin as red areas that become purple and later brownish-yellow.

Skin Purpura
Spontaneous bleeding into the skin usually appears as a rash known as purpura
In elderly people so-called senile purpura
Purpura with painful bruising of the legs and around hair roots may also be seen in vitamin C deficiency

Petechiae is the term given to the individual small red or red-blue spots about
1 to 5mm in diameter which make up the rash.

Eccymosis

A livid or black and blue spot, produced by the extravasation
or effusion of blood into the areolar tissue from a contusion.

Extravasation

The process of exuding or passing out of a vessel into
surrounding
tissues; of or blood or lymph or urine

vanil-p. Wow, I should have tried that before I asked!! Eagh, now I'm
awash in remedies I never heard of... :-O
