Here is Dr. Luc's response to using chronic remedy for acutes instead
of acute intercurrent.
He has given permission to share on minutus list
I also would like to see the details of such a case............

Re: from Dr. Luc on vaccination antidote/chronic/acute intercurrent
Thanks Sheri and Dr. Luc!
Here's the reply (I asked whether she might have any cases to offer as
examples) from my friend who (sometimes) uses that method (chronic
remedy to treat acutes etc.--*sometimes*; NOT as a "universal rule"--I
have not heard *anyone* make that claim!!)
She writes:
"The first time i heard about using your constituional remedy for
acutes was from Messimund Panos' [book,] Homeopathic Medicine at Home.
It was my first book. I believe in the chapter on accidents she
mentions that the similumum or a good prescription constituionally
[here the term "constitutional" remedy would be better called the
"chronic" remedy] will act on injuries as well as other acute
illnesses. I always pass this information to my patients. One time i
was heard!! In spite of not seeing this particular californian in a
long time, she recalled i had said she could use her remedy for
injuries. She called exclaiming how marvelously her remedy (which was
lachesis) worked for a sprained ankle. The sprain was very bad and she
was over 50 years old but was up and at em without any problem with in
the the day.
This is a very old idea. And many of us say the same thing."
Shannon again:
On reading this I had a huge "duh" experience, remembering that my own
first experiences with the approach were not recent, and not from amy
student of Mangialavore's, but from our first family homeopath, a "very
Vithoulkian" prescriber. On several occasions he had me use "my"
(chronic / so-called constitutional) remedy for acutes or injuries,
with completely satisfactory results. And in fact, with (on the
occasions I'm remembering) *better* result than would have come from
use of an acute or trauma remedy, because it gave me a "constitutional"
boost (by which I mean, gave a boost to the healing of my chronic
issues) *as well as* doing a very efficient job with the immediate
problem at hand.
Panos' book (which was also the first I used, but I did not remember
that instruction had been in it) is not a new one, and nothing "cutting
edge", just a good, solid "home prescriber" primer.
So, I think this is another illustration of the fact that, with
homeopathy we've got a very large and complex "elephant", possessing
many "legs", "ears", "trunks", etc., etc., etc.; different of us will
have gained benefit of greater explorations of different "parts of the
animal"...
So evidently Mangialavore did not "invent" anything with this part of
his approach, but simply made it more of a goal and a standard than had
previously been done.
Best wishes,
Shannon
