Saw an interesting piece on TV today. It was an episode of Superman that showed him being struck with a virus concocted to lethally affect him. The treatment was to expose him to the deadly kryptonite and bring him close to death in order to change his bodies chemistry to render it unfriendly to the virus.

Sounds very homeopathic to me.

What was interesting and annoying was the use of an MD who had abandonned his medical practice to administer the treatment. He described it as a new and exerimental treatment!

PS. For those of you who are not Superman buffs, this character came from the planet Krypton when he was an infant. He is impervious to everything except the mineral kryptonite which sucks all his powers and can kill him upon exposure to this mineral. Needless to say, someone is always trying to do him in with inventive ways of using this mineral.
