As a lay person, I rather wish I hadn’t opened those. How awful! Did the person pictured here lose the thumb?
There have been a couple of good articles about treating spider bites in Homeopathy Today in recent years. Written so a lay person can understand, so perhaps of no interest to the practitioners among you. Teresa (Northern VA)

Spider pictures - for susan hope they come thru
Oh my goodness!! I've never seen that!! Thanks for sending those though.
My neighbor looked just like the first one. It was on his arm between the shoulder and the elbow. It was HUGE!! It had a white spot in the middle. He had gone to the doctor and was put on steroids and antibiotics, and nothing was helping. About 5 days after the bite, he came over, very restless, and hot, and red, and itching terribly, and his tricep area was hanging, bulging down, and hives extending both directions from the area. I gave him Apis, based on what was going on at that time, because he was never sure if or what bit him. Within 20 minutes, the swelling was starting to go down and the itching was almost gone. He took 3 doses that night and the next morning, the swelling was at skin level not raised, and no itching. But the red spot remained for more than a week after that with intermittent itching, and the Apis not longer did anything, and I am too new to this to know what else I should have done.
