'Hence the very small doses prescribed by homoeopathy
produce the uncommon effect they do just because they
are not so large as to render it necessary for the
organism to get rid of them by the revolutionary
processes of evacuations. And yet these very small
doses excite the system to evacuations (which shorten
their duration of action) in cases of disease where
the remedy has been unsuitably and not accurately
homoeopathically chosen.'
