vaginal bleeding in post menopausal woman

Post by ForumGal »

Hi,
My 58 year old friend has had light spotting and bleeding and cramps for
the last few weeks (her periods stopped at age 51). A pap and pelvic exam a
month ago showed no abnormalities. Please, what are rubrics for
post-menopausal bleeding? Is it menses or not? She'll also use conventional
docs re this. But she now has some interest in homeopathy because she let me
give her a remedy for her "mentals", mostly (Puls) about two weeks ago and
she feels better. Thanks for your help. Best, Margaret

Margaret,

Regarding your friend, don't know if she had this done yet, but a
post-menopausal woman who suddenly starts bleeding vaginally needs an
endometrial biopsy to rule out endometrial cancer. A routine Pap smear
and pelvic exam are not adequate in this situation. Hope all turns out
well for her.

Best wishes,
Arlene

Whoever has an answer for this might also give h/ir opinion on applicability
of "menses suppressed" rubrics in hysterectomy ?

Kent = MENSES, return after having ceased, the periods = ambr; calc; kreos;
lach; mag.c; mag.m; murex; nat.m; nuxv; puls; sep; thuj; tril; ust.

Also, menses suppressed because of a hysterectomy = absolutely applicable.

Arlene,

Why do a biopsy if a patient has no interest in conventional therapy? A
biopsy can potentially unleash a localized lesion and whether or not there
is malignancy is mostly irrelevant in homeopathic prescribing.
