I hv tried: Ars, Ip, Nux-v, etc.
They hv worked to avert the bad effects of chemo. But
only at times. I give all three or four at a time, one after the other.
At times it has worked wonderfully well - at other times or on
other days - a flop! Even if taken at 15 min. intervals.
This was given during the course of the therepy.

Re: [H] Help - chemotherapy treatments
Hi,
I started treating a woman with shistu for chemo burns. She had numbness and referred pain. Hypericum which was local (nerve building) increased the numbness and then ameliorated numbness. Gradually the area of numbness decreased, but it spread to the other leg. She got the idea of aggravation followed by amelioration. I persuaded her to take her case.
Clear case of sulphur. Constitutional selection. I doubt that there are "cancer remedies." Although you would include the cancer lesions in the symptoms. Quick increase in energy with aggravation which was a return of chronic back problems. She understood the notion of aggravation and sought help with the back (shiatsu and moxa done by herself). I taught her how to self treat with moxa. Very interesting because the pattern of numbness matched the poor circulation in extremities typical of sulphur.
I had tried causticum before taking the case. No results.
Best,
Ellen

Dear Nirit,
The best book I have on this is called "A family Guide - Coping with Chemotherapy Using Homeopathy by Laura Fanton. It is published by Health Harmony and B. Jain ISBN 81-7021-1094-3 It deals with all the sude effects and gives indications of what remedies to use.
With patients I have used successfully the following:-
If bladder or bowel is affected take Phos. 30 and Caust. 30 three times a day until problem begins to go and then don't repeat unless the symptoms return.
If Bowel obstructed 4 days after treatment take Veratrum 30 three times a day for a couple of days or until improvement.
If thrush take Nat. Phos 30 three times a day for up to a week or until improvement.
