Without going into Urduhomeopathy site- on the face of it this
statement is against all known applications of homeopathic
principles. Age and sex are 2 of the many hundreds of pieces of
information that are gathered and put together to form a composite
picture of the patient. The relative importance of any homeopathic
symptom is based on the context. Baryta might be indicated in young
age and old age but does not mean it does not work in other age
groups. When the rest of the symptoms point to Baryta AND the
patient is also of old age this might be used to confirm the remedy.
That is the value of age and sex and nothing more. We neither give
Nux vom only to men nor Puls only to women. Just because Cham is a
children's remedy does not mean we apply it only to children.
THe hallmark of homeopathic practice is individualization. Age and
sex are not that individualizing as other symptoms of the patient.
My 2 cents...

Re: WITHOUT AGE AND SEX INDEXATION OF SYMPTOMS,REPERTORY IS USELESS?
I am in between of your statement and the stament by Roger below.
I should think it would be quite important in many cases to know age
and sex of the person who developed a specific symptom in the proving.
An obvious example: pain in the lower abdomen may point to certain
things in men and children, in women there are obviously more things
they may point to. Generally, a symptom may mean different things, be
of different relevance, depending on whether a young robust prover
developed it or an old, feeble person.
It is too bad that, as far as the old provings are concerned, only
A'llen's Encyclopedia gives this information - and to find it takes a
lot of endeavour.
On the other hand, it is also obvious that Roger is right to a point,
since for many sx age and sex are of no relevance and most people who
have been cured by homeopathy were cured also the homeopath did not
have this information about the amps.

Luise

So definitely know what's true:
2 and 2 is 22 -
and 2 times 2 is 2:-)

Re: WITHOUT AGE AND SEX INDEXATION OF SYMPTOMS,REPERTORY IS USELESS?
Dear Collegues,
As i have created an seperate forum to strictly discuss on the
matter, this is an very serious topic which will bring a great
change into classical repertorisation methods and it will change the
pattern of routine classical repertorisation therefore please go to
www.urduhomeopath.com and join the proper forum, although it Minutus
is also a good forum for the topic but as my "Challenge is still a
Break Through in classical homeopathic repertorisation" and it is
available at my website. Join and discuss freely i,ll be there as
that place has been proper forum for open discussion without any
limit.
According to my findings there should be three more relevant
indexation with all symptoms categories, Common Symptoms for all age
and sexes,Age , Sex . But how my discussion will be available to you
after all of you to give detailed answers of all questions put there
during month of May,2008.
Looking forward for views fo masters in repertorisation,to Join this
challenge break through discussion.
with best wishes from Chiniot,Pakistan.
