Teaching children about homeopathy

I'm trying to find resources that I can use to begin teaching homeopathic principles to an early elementary age child. I help to homeschool her, and the state that we're in requires us to teach health as one of the required subjects. But all of the health curriculums that I've looked at are pretty much the "support of Western Medicine," "Dumbed Down Food Guide Pyramid" and other things that do not support a truly healthy lifestyle, or alternative medicine. I'd like to be able to teach a health curriculum that teaches more holistically about herbs, meditation, Chakras and Chi, and other alternative medicine principles, including homeopathy. But of course, there IS no such curriculum out there. But if I can find resources for kids that discuss these individual things, I can put together my own curriculum. I have found a few things that touch on some of these subjects, such as herbs, yoga and meditation, but that's about as far as I've been able to find. Does anyone here know of any other resources to teach more holistic health, or alternative medicine principles to children?

introduction to a wide range of healing modalities. That being said
if you're looking to assemble components I'd recommend Jonathan
Breslow's _Homeopathic_Medicine_at_Home_ for the homeopathy part. It
uses Panos & Heimlich's _Homeopathic_Medicine_at_Home_ and Boericke's
_MM & Rep_. There is no way my 6yo kindergartener could get anything
out of it... he's developmentally in a different world. My 8yo 2nd
grader can read it, integrate a homeopathic perspective when
observing, and use that teaching to report a list of repertorizable
symptoms to get to a remedy.

It encourages you to imagine the remedy as you color, to experience them as people, talk to them, and think who they remind you of. 49 remedies.

does it have to be a written curriculum? or
can you make your own?
one thought that occurs is to take a standard
curriculum, age appropriate and list the main
topics. then write lessons to deal with them.
for example, if the curriculum is dealing with
nutrition, you can make your own food chart for
health. when talking about more sophisticated
concepts, such as sex, with older children, you
can critique the forms of birth control with
an emphasis on holistic and healthy methods.
when i was dealing with an 10-11 yr old, one of
the things that was a constant was dealing with
the problems in my older cat. this child got
excited about being able to heal the cat and i
found her online looking up homeopathic tx for
problems. i also taught her some concepts of
communicating with the cat via mental imaging,
which really intrigued her.
and as for food, gardening offers great opportunities
to relate how elements in the earth are what makes
food taste good, look good and provide specific
health benefits.
but i am sure you have so much knowledge that you
can draw on to put together a really creative and
exciting class.
