re severed in half

Hi I was hoping someone may be able to help – my son was taken to hospital with suspected testicular torsion – operated on but is was not that so now they are investigating other things – I have taken his case – Swollen R testicle with a hardened area/mass on lower tip of testicle (ultra sound came back normal – but as surgeon said he has seen the hardened mass – says the scan rules out cancer or tumour) - swollen hot red – pain at about 8-9/10 but keeps telling me that he has a sensation as if he has been severed in half – like the top of his body is healthy and strong and the lower half is weak and sick and painful – he is quite anxious (and is by nature as well) cold legs plus pins and needles in feet and ankles - he has had R sciatica quite severely for about 2 months – (he lives away from me) – and was in a bad car accident about 2 ½ years ago and had major damage to right lower leg and ankle and limps quite a bit at times, and still has a lot of apin in the leg esp when weather is cold – Rhustox and Ruta grav help at times.

Problem is I am in Brisbane at present and don’t have my books with me – so cant look up the ‘severed in half” sensation – can anyone help me with what remedies could come up with this rubric – it is the only really individualizing rubric I can get out of him. I only have a Boericke with me – but did grab an army of remedies before I left home. Many thanks in advance Pauline

There are a few Rubrics under delusion rather than sensation which may be appropriate to use as a guide – from Synthesis
MIND - DELUSIONS - body - cut through; he is

Bell. plat. Stram.

MIND - DELUSIONS - body - divided, is

Agath-a. cann-i. choc. lil-t. olib-sac. Petr. ruta sil. Stram.

MIND - DELUSIONS - divided - two parts; into

Bell of course, is great for pain, and when things are red and hot as you already are aware. And Bell and Stram are often found together with mind symptoms and pain symptoms.

Banerji has a guide to pain and one thing he mentioned is that even though Bell 3 and rems like Aconite 1x are known as pain rems, his experience is that they will only work if the pain is literally ‘intolerable’ – even if people say pain is intolerable, it often is not the case, and he says that in these instances Bell and Aconite will not work on the pain.
However, even so, red and hot and pain make me think of Bell 3 or the lowest potency you can find

Hi, I am sending email not webpost as attaching RADAR's keynotes (which I don;t thk can do with Minutus) on Kali-Carb as I think worth a try -- given covers tingling, sciatica, testes and feeling of weakness all in one...granted not specific about severed in half and the both feeling strong & weak simultaneously.
But, I feel, warrants a closer read of the MM...
I would go with trying Bell at 1st as post-operative/shock reaction inplay here? but if no results with that give the Kali-c a try??

Note- Oestopathic tx may be helpful in future to deal with car accident effects...for the mechanics of what happened....once touched on, can go for homeopathic tx of that incident in history of case.

want to add the obvious in case for your son/Kali-c in that covers tumors/cysts nicely
also, to think about using following Tissue Salts re- 1) formation of hard tumours, 2) nerves (tingling)/worry and 3) 1st stage inflammation (red, hot and painful*) -- respectively would be: Calc-Flor and Kali-Phos along with Ferr-Phos. Tx would be for at least 3 wks as acts biochemically and needs to be in system to act...but go on longer as way to dissolve hard mass/tumour. Would move, naturally, to 2nd stage inflammation tissue salts or ones that are relevant once tx progresses.
* - note- should see coldness of extremeties for Ferr-Phos and also use this tissue salt esp if not doing the Bell rx.

I would like to thank everyone very much for their help with remedies while I was away with my son – I gave Bell before picking up the answers (so was heartened to see it high in the list of ‘severed in half’ remedies) – I gave on the red hot swollen and throbbing alone but it seems to have helped with the severed in half sensation – though as this has been there longer than the testicle issue I would expect it to take longer to go completely – the Bell has helped with the swelling and pain quite a bit and with the sciatic inflammation also – Drs are still not sure what the problem was but we suspect that he had a partial torsion or blockage from the inflammation in the hip/ buttock groin area from the acute sciatica and old car accident injuries, while driving for 7 hours straight to get to a job and this has caused some damage to cells in the testes causing an acute inflammatory response once the blood supply was reestablished - ultra sound scans all kept coming back clear – but there was a hardened mass at the lower apex of the testicle and some swelling/inflammation of the epididymis.

So apart from the pain from the surgery he seems to be coming right – though may be a while before he doesn’t look like a rodeo rider when he walks!!!

Again thankyou for your help – it is such a relief to know that you can have access to such quality help when you don’t have your ‘library’ with you and the ‘Mum’ part of you is trying so hard not to panic and remain unprejudiced.
