Dementia/Alzheimers

Post by K DA SILVA-HILL »

Does anyone have experience of treating people in the early stages of Dementia/Alzheimers with homeopathy?
Patient is in her mid-sixties, fairly fast deterioration in memory, brain scan shows tissue shrinkage.
I am treating constitutionally, but would be interested in hearing other people's experiences and outcomes.
There is so much on the internet about this disease, and many approaches described as being helpful.
I know that there seems to be a link with mercury and possibly aluminium too.
Thanks for sharing, Grace

Personally I had little success with my mother in law in the early stages but then she was on Aricept as well and I wondered if this may have blocked the action. I have since found out that Gingko works as well as Aricept. However when she got to the delusional stage of thinking everyone was stealing from her Crot H 200 - a single dose sorted that out. I gave her a dose of Baryta Carb 200 a few weeks ago and she occasionally says a sensible sentence and has been a lot brighter, This may however be more to do with the fact that the nursing home has her on liquidised food now and feeding her as it was taking her so long to eat a meal. Now she is getting all the nutrients she needs. Ant Tart on her wrist brought her round from what looked like a fatal pneumonia over a year ago.
That's my experience FWIW
