60+ women

Post by Rochelle »

I am getting more and more young 60+ women coming to see me with one ailment or another but their life situation has changed. They are retired or semi retired, at home with an ailing husband and are resenting it. They are still young at heart, social beings and have husbands that keep them at home as they have to look after them. They don;t feel that at this stage of the game they can leave their husbands. Some are frightening of what their children would say. I have one who is fearful of telling her husband with slight dementia that certain plans have to be changed because he will "flare up" and rant and rave at her. Another follows her everywhere and flies off the handle if she doesn't do what he wants immediately. Yet another won't let her use the phone because it costs money etc etc.
I would love some ideas of rubrics or remedies that might be suitable for these women. Sepia is one obvious one IMO - possibly also Carc.

Thanks - I have just found the article on my Isis Vision programme.
Will read it when I finish typing up this case which I have to admit I didn't rep but gave Sepia as an Essence prescription. I read her Sepia from Soul of Remedies and she said it was just her situation!!

Might it be useful to focus some on how they are feeling about and
reacting to the situations? You mentioned "frightened of what the
children will say", but what else, and how does the current
situation--and/or the feelings it brings up--tie in with prior events
and/or feelings in their lives? Probably it's only the situation that
is (in part) new, but other things within that will be familiar?

Wow !! I couldn't resist reading it and it has all the features of this particular case. This woman has diverticulitis and mucus running down her throat from her sinuses as well. I can see I will have to get some of this remedy when I next order from Helios.
Thanks

hmm, i think you are seeing a fairly common cultural
development. when i was growing up, a 60+ woman was
'old.' she was a lifelong housewife who tended the
home turf. the husband retired and became a pain in the
butt, always under foot. that was the scenario. today,
women are not sinking into the later years in a subdued
manner. the women i see (and am one of them myself) are
very active in their communities, often continuing to
work, including running their own businesses.
so, does she feel imposed upon? conflicted and guilty?
too weak to stand up for herself? does she feel estranged
from her own life in taking care of her husband who is
deteriorating?
just some rambling thoughts that might help trigger an idea
for you.

Desire to escape may be a rubric. Jean

Rochelle, what do you mean by "leave their husbands" - as in divorce, or simply at anytime during the day?
Reading this, it's the men that needs the remedies, not the women!!!

Dear Christine,
I meant "As in leave the house"!! Yes the men need the Rx and the women are in a maintaining situation. The woman feel duty bound (Kali), are doing something against their wishes (Sepia) are being downtrodden (Carc). Some will not say anything back to their husbands (Staph) but some do but get it back in the neck!!
I usually show these woman how to use EFT (www.emofree.com ) to help them overcome these emotional causations.
