Dear Joy,
The Abrot. was a suggestion from 2 people on the list

I think its best to clear your mind of any remedy and just re-take the
total

I did not prescribe and since the problem does not appear to be there now I
do not intend to. Alow was the rx that came up best from my rep and I
suggested that he takes a 10day course of Aloe Vera Juice which won;t do him
any harm!!

I can't see the point of sending the whole case to the list as I would
rather leave that to one's I am really having a problem with.

Rochelle

Dear Russell,
I am beginning to realise that and repeated a remedy with a patient today
which has worked well before although I was tempted to change it!!

Dear David,

I am waiting for the latest upgrade from Miccant to be sent to me as I have
been troubleshooting the reps!!! The advantage of CaraPro to me is the
price!!!!! I couldn't afford Radar or macrep.

All the best
Rochelle
--------------------------------------
I used CaraPro since it was first available, & upgraded a couple of times.
Next I got ReferenceWorks, since I was disappointed with the MM in CaraPro;
the combination of the two was OK, but no interactivity between programs...

The EH 1.3 & RADAR 8 "expert" version which I now use seems to me to be
better than anything else on the market;

Rochelle,

If aloe can't do him any harm, then I don't think it can do him any good,
either. Either a "medicine" can affect the system or it can't and if it can
it must be for better or for worse, no?

I think sac lac would have been a better choice if you needed some time to
decide.

be well

Dear Russell,
I don't do sac lac as I feel it is dishonest!! I know that is my stuff but
that is how it is!! Sometimes I put a Bach flower Rx on sac lac but then I
do tell the patient what it is for!! I'm one of those homeopaths who are
upfront with my patients and talk to them about the remedy and share
information from the MM with them to show how a remedy matches their
symptoms. I can't very well do that with sac lac!!

I believe it's one mistake to lose the healer/client distinction & another
to misunderstand the value & intent of Rx of Sac. Lac.

How could it be possible to fully explain homeopathy, all aspects of case
management, and the client's Rx within a few minutes?!

How many homeopaths since beginning of homeopathy use & have used,
appropriately and to very good advantage, placebo Rx.?

Best to have some boundaries appropriate to client/healer relationship
(which, by the way- are potentially intrinsically therapeutic -for both) and
to learn to follow FIRST the path that is laid down by those who've blazed
the trail for us- THEN "improve" if and when needed.

Dear Rochelle,

Risking suppression or disruption of a case which has been heading in the
right direction by giving aloe juice or a Bach flower seems to me much more
of an "ethical dilemma" than sac lac. Placebo is simply allowing the
patient's constitution to do its own thing. I also tend to tell patients the
name of the remedy because in the u.s. people are into having such
information. I just tell them that the SL is a low potency. In India, they
do the same generally but there they don't even tell the remedy name and the
patients are Ok with that. So I think there are some cultural differences
within which we all have to work. However, I have recently begun using SL
regularly and find much better compliance with follow ups. It can be a great
blessing to case management which ultimately allows the homeopath to do what
is right homeopathically and that is in the patients' best interests.

be well

Dear Dave and Russell,

You never know I might get there eventually but at the moment the only
people I give SL to are siblings of kids I treat who come to the
consultation (at Mum's request!!) and a young lady (age 14) who needs her
"concentration pills".

The only time Lyc. is sensitive to cold is during a FEVER - partial icy
coldness, body becomes cold during a cough, feels as if lying on ice, chills
followed by more chills.... Otherwise the modalities are >> Cold applications.

Likes warm drinks when the throat is bad but that isn't the same as body
warmth external or internal. Let's get this right.
