Beverly-

It looks a lot like Lyssin to me... the rage, the voices coaxing to
violence etc. Stram and to a lesser extent Hyos also seem to come
in -

I would also read upon Ars, Lach, Merc, Staph - all murderous and
raging

- you would find the general symptoms agreeing

fear, anxiety, thirst, nightly rest or < vital drains...
Troubles brought on by overexertion / tiredness is also Nux.mos

Ars is associated with weakness...

Since this looks like a psychotic case, make sure that all other
aspects are looked at-

Has he ever been on antipsychotic medicines?
How long has it been like this? What makes it worse and what makes
it better - any seasonal changes...
Any drug habits?
Mental disease in the family?
Married? How is married life?
Relationship with parents, siblings...
Relationship with figures of authority ( since the voice seems to
control him and he does not want to be controlled)
Has this been increasing in intensity now or decreasing...

Do the voices tell him to kill any one particular person? If he
continues like this and ultimately if the victim is selected and he
starts thinking of a particular way to kill or if he starts saying
that the voices tell him to kill people in a particular way- then
you know he is worsening. Make sure that this is not something more
than you can handle.

I have treated paranoid conditions before - probably more successes
than failures. But make sure that you get the full picture. Also do
not give too many restrictions to the patient making him feel that
you are too controlling...

Good luck

Thanks to both Anna and Rochelle
Yes, have been considering Lyssin. I have never used it and so an a little cautious I suppose. Any ideas on potencies.
Have used water doses of stram and occasionally hyos and dry doses of staph where needed.
Have used ars. to benefit. Looked at Merc but it hans't seemed to be as good a fit as I would like [so far]
Patient has never been on any antidepressant/anti-psychotic medication. He says the voice is a reflection of his internal anger. Nux v has taken the voices away previously but not for the long term.
Father is psychotic behaviour and seems to represent straight Lyc. in endless affairs and relying on money to give status to replace the internal emptyness. Parents divorced many years.
This patient is in steady relationship but tempestuous [usually I would think from his controlling behaviour]. Anger is aimed at girlfriend and parents but the 'kill' thing when it comes up is aimed in general and he says he can just push the voice away as it is only in the backgroun.
no other drug habit - extremely clean living

patient has added that
the air in the house where he grew up and is staying momentarily is thick and one can feel the tension [he is the source of the tension but blames everyone else]
he reads ill meaning into every tiny little thing that someone in the house says and it angers him and he wants to get away. Reproaches others for not changing their tone of voice etc.
= Ars??

Hello all
could anyone please point me in the direction of remedies associated with
'goes from doctor to doctor in a bid to get well'
if there is such a rubric or something similar - can't find anything in my reps but possibly not wording it correctly
any ideas?
thanks
Beverly

The one time i saw Lyssin used was on a child with rages, fears and
night-terrors. The potency was 200c, and it worked beautifully with no
agg.

I have used Lyssin in 200 mostly. I usually give 2 or 3 doses and wait.
In such cases with a lot of mental symptoms I do not change quickly. I
do repeat the same medicine sometimes even weekly.
Like you said even Ars looks good- esp. the emphasis on cleanliness
etc. Father being a Lyc also points to Ars. I have seen this Ars, Lyc,
Phos grouping occurring a lot of times.

As long as you do not repeat too much, you can probably trial with
either Ars or Lyssin. Read them both in one of the original material
medicas and then decide.
Are there no physical symptoms at all? How about diseases in
childhood? Use them for ruling out things.

What sort of ill meaning? Does he feel put-down, argued-with,
disliked, threatened, or ? How does he respond?

This might be schizophrenia.
Google for "HealthBook.doc"
Intense Gluten intolerance is suspected.
Some allergy/intolerance might be the trigger.

There is a free downloadable book as below:
HealthBook.doc (186 pages)

"THE HEALTH REVOLUTION by Philip Bate PhD"
One can google for this & download which may be of IMMENSE HELP.

Anhalonium is a likely clinical choice.
