London UK- Runny nose , catarrh , intermittent sore throat and painful ears, coughing and periodic temperature, losing voice, tired, lethargic, painful calf muscles.
Apparently it is going around. I haven't repped it yet but I will!!!!

Thanks - the Homeopathic helpline suggested Hepar for a friend but I'm not convinced.

I remember someone used it. Also remember Bry. I think the discussion was
on the BIH list if you are interested in looking in the archives.

i recall one article that said puls, bry & arsenicum
(not necessarily in that order).
when i got sick with similar sx, i found aconite at
first, then ars and phos. phos helped when the nasal
mucous was getting progressively more bloody. the ars
seemed to help minimally. the aconite cut it from going
deep into the lungs which is characteristic of my colds.

The lethargy, muscle pain, sore throat and going into ears -
suggests Gelsemium. Nux vom also has all these...

Anything specific about appetite, thirst, stools? How is the tongue?
Headache? Runny nose modalities any? Hot water bath, during sleep?
Irritability?

(except for the calf muscles)
(Think it might be on his web site) but others used different
remedies.

Some more specificity would be necessary on each of those sxs.

I don't know. I will be seeing her today! My thoughts were Gels. When I
asked about thirst she said that sometimes she is extremely thirsty and
other times not!!

Phos actually reps best but she is not a Phos person at the best of times!! More a Nat Mur!! This is a friend we are going away with for the weekend rather than a patient. She normally goes to allopathy but is desperate enough to ask me to bring remedies with!!
