WAS: 'Homeophobia' must not be tolerated

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

These kind of presentation of exchanges really gets me confused as I cannot tell who has said what.
Can we agree on some kind of a format like where you start the reply at the top of the new email
And write and cut & paste the rest.

Sorry about that, Soroush!
Different computers do different things with format--this one was very
clear on *my* computer, with a blue line in front of Helen's and none
in front of mine, then further changes in indentation and color with
each subsequent "layer"--but I see that doesn't come thru to your copy.
It's funny, tho--again on this reply to yours (which I see stripped of
formatting), the formatting is back (tho presumably you will again not
see it). I wonder whether your computer gives you option of changing
its format settings for email?

Does this work better, or is it too cumbersome?

If you always write your list emails in plain text, this problem will go
away. The colors etc are html and not plain - hence they are stripped
off when sent to a list that puts all emails in plain text.

Howe to set to plain text - which by the way is safer as it can not
transport and permit spreading of viruses - off list to anyone with
email address on your hard drive somewhere - like html can do:
