My son's case (was: EMR interference)

Hi Shannon,
Here is the timeline for my son's illness. I hope this isn't way more detail than you wanted. Please feel free to ask questions if you need more info. Of course, any suggestions are appreciated.
In contrast to other kids with the same condition, and with where he used to be, I feel his case is a minor miracle. I love what homeopathy has done for him.

"Sunny" (online nickname)
3 years old, currently living in Peru
Has a condition whose symptoms are consistent with EGID (Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorder). Allopathic treatment is a special amino acid formula to replace food, commonly with a feeding tube inserted surgically. Many spend most of their childhoods living on formula with a handful of foods; some never eat any food at all. Most are on steroids, antihistamines, and antacids as well.

Born healthy in home watertub, weighing 8.5 lbs at the 75th percentile. Never vaccinated, never received antibiotics.
Home was next to a power substation. Entire pregnancy was spent in this house. I was very depressed throughout entire length of pregnancy, unable to get anything done. Depression disappeared as soon as Sunny was born. Had apprehension and self-reproach that something was wrong with the baby because I didn't take prenatal vitamins consistently.
Age 3 - 4 months:
Traveled for 3 weeks through France, Italy, Greece, and Egypt for a family vacation. Symptoms started before, but continued to get worse during the trip, and stayed worse after we returned.
Severe eczema from head to toe, oozing, crusting, bleeding. Intense itchy. Scratching relieved itching, but bled the sores.
Persistent vomiting after almost every feeding. Vomiting food eaten long ago (delayed gastric emptying)
Sleeplessness, waking frequently crying and screaming in pain
Clingy, would not let mother go
Lethargic, sleeping while being carried
Crying and screaming in pain, when not asleep. Back arched, thrashing, fidgety while screaming.
Pain after swallowing.
Recurrent diarrhea
Intolerance of all foods, tested allergic to milk and eggs (I went on an elimination diet for 6 weeks. First I ate only 3 foods for 4 weeks, then 3 different foods for 2 weeks--no changes.)
Failure to thrive, lost weight from 14.4 lbs to 13 lbs. Could not gain weight back.
Age 5 months:
Tried homeopathy: Arsenicum Albans had a mild improvement/aggravation cycle. Lac. Hum. stopped the vomiting like turning off a faucet. Skin, screaming, restless sleep improved a little. Would gain weight, but then lose it again.
Age 6, 7 months:
Tried amino acid formula for one week. Improved weight gain, regained 0.7 lbs in one week. But vomiting, skin, screaming, restless sleep all came rushing back furiously.
Returned to breastfeeding and Lac Hum. Vomiting disappeared again unless trialing new foods.
Could not eat ANY foods directly without massive swelling and/or vomiting. Vomited to even water. Only water from a new water bottle did not make him vomit.
Age 8, 9 months:
Traveled to a coastal city in Chile, South America. Lived there 2 months.
Continued on Lac Hum. Eczema, restless sleep, mood improved. Slow weight gain back to 14.4 lbs, his weight at 3 months. Behind in development.
Traveled to Machu Picchu in Peru. Eczema on face cleared up completely in one week.
Age 10, 11 months
Returned to the States. Eczema came back to face. Symptoms worsened upon returning back to that house next to the power substation. Weight gain stopped completely.
Switched to a new homeopath who practices classical homeopathy with water potencies (recommended by Sheri Nakken).
Took Mezereum, resulting in cycles of dramatic improvement followed by aggravations. Still no weight gain, arrested development.
Age 12, 13 months
Moved to Peru.
Mezereum. Improvement without the aggravations (much milder and shorter). Symptoms of pain while swallowing, screaming in pain, diarrhea, restless sleep, etc gradually disappeared in 6-8 weeks. Skin was 50% better. Dramatic weight gain of 2 lbs for the first time since age 3 months. It was like waking out of a coma--he became active and alert. Was able to eat boiled carrots and potatoes with less and less symptoms until none at all.
Age 14 months
Mezereum. Eczema 75% gone. Weight gain stalled--almost none this month. Still not crawling, not speaking at all. Able to eat more vegetables.
Age 15, 16, 17 months.
Tried Nat Mur. No aggravations at all, only gentle improvement. Weight gained rose dramatically again--4 lbs in 3 months. Finally at 17 months, started to crawl. Able to eat most vegetables and some fruits.
Age 18 months.
Moved to a new apartment that is close to 3 cell towers.
Nat Mur. Weight gain stalled again--no gain this month. Started to walk. Still no speech. Communicates non-verbally and interacts, but no words. Able to eat most vegetables and most fruits. Meats still made him swell up.
Age 19, 20, 21 months.
Tried Calc Carb. Weight gain restarted, but sputtering (climb a few days, stall a week). When weight stalled, a trip to Pacaran (remote village outside of cell phone range) would jump start it back up. Weight finally reached 3rd percentile (he was finally back on the growth charts!). Now walking and starting to talk. Added fish. Started to trial chicken.
The last month, he developed canker sores in his mouth and refused to eat. Lost a lot of weight, took the whole month to gain it back.
Age 22 months.
Returned to USA.
Calc Carb. Lost a little weight, dipped back below the charts again. Eczema and the "coma look" (sunken eyes, empty look) slowly creeping back.
Age 23, 24, 25, 26 months (4 months)
Moved to a new house away from the power substation.
Switched to Pulsatilla. Weight climbed up again, but more gently. Reached 5th percentile and stayed there. No gain in adding foods. Eczema slowly getting worse. Towards the end of this period, the eczema was back in full swing, oozing and bleeding. Started to experience some pain in his throat occasionally. Lethargic.
Age 27, 28 months
Traveled to Africa (Tanzania, Dem Rep of the Congo).
Pulsatilla. (Weekly Nat Mur dose to prevent malaria) Immediate improvement with eczema and the "coma look." After 4 weeks, eczema was almost completely gone. Sunken eyes disappeared. Had a few days with high fever, treated with Gelsemium. Afterwards, very happy and active. Able to eat ALL meats without reactions. Tried milk and eggs, with almost no allergic reaction at all! Weight jumped to 10th percentile.
Age 29
Returned to USA.
Pulsatilla. Worse. Maintaining at 10th percentile. But able to eat all foods now, except milk and eggs.
Age 30, 31 months
Moved back to Peru, to the same apt near the cell towers. Better. Weight gain creeping up to 15th percentile.
Age 32, 33, 34 months
Returned to USA temporarily. I was 8 months pregnant and returned to give birth. Moved to a new apartment in a new, big city.
Switched to Argentum Nitricum. Weight gain went up to 20th percentile. Eczema worse, bleeding again.
Age 35, 36, 37 months (PRESENT)
Returned to Peru to our apt. I have been looking for an apt farther from the cell towers, but been unsuccessful. Decent housing has been hard to find since the earthquake in August.
Tried Arg. Nit, then Pulsatilla. Huge improvement with eczema, sunken eyes, activity level. Speech improving slowly.
For the first time, lost weight in Peru and unable to gain. He is back down to 10th percentile. Even trips to Pacaran the last 3 weeks haven't resulted in any lasting gains (he would gain, but then lose again).
Currently trying to decide what to do next.

And re your saga--wow...
So focusing in on the past few months, since your return--be more
specific about what dates he had what remedy/potency, and response?
Does the last dose seem to be acting at present, or is he "between"?

If he's "between" (or if you have a good picture of what his
non-remedied state is at present), can you describe him as fully as you
can, both physicals and mental/emotional? (Appearance, mannerisms,
movements, generals, whatever?) Does he have the "sunken eyed" look at
present, at all?

Just want to let you know, we're having several levels of chaos at the
moment--end of semester approaching for the 7th grader, and picking up
the "new" college girl tomorrow, then etc., etc., ... -- so my
response and timing will probably be choppy!! But thank you so much

come of it for you!

I know a 10 year old boy who had exactly the same illness as baby, maybe even worse, starting 1 month old. He has grown out of it now. His constitutional remedy is Graphites. He even has similar birth weight as your son. His was 8lb, 11oz. His parents didn't make any connection with EMR, but believed that it was vaccins.
