New, with two questions

Hello and thank you for allowing me to join your group!
I have two questions that I hope someone can lend some friendly advice as to what kind of remedy can be taken to help.
The first question is about one of my front teeth, which had a root canal about ten years ago and a bridge. The bridge has never fit properly and I recently had it removed and a temp put in until I can get the new permanent. The one front tooth has an abcess. It hurts (not a lot, but enough to be annoying). My dentist had said it may need to be pulled, not sure yet. I have been taking Belladonna, which helps a bit, and also rinsing with sea salt. Is there anything else I can do to help this? I am dreading having it pulled.
The second question is for a friend of mine. Three years ago she took Levaquin and has bad side effects. She has terrible muscle pain in her legs and has trouble going up stairs. She has been taking Arnica and says it helps. Is there anything else that she can take to help? The doctor is giving her prednisone which she doesn't want to take.

note the presence of Sil, Hecla lava, Pyrog and Merc on the list. i have used merc with abscesses with some success in controlling the pain.
hecla has pain extending to jaw
merc and sil have pulsating pain
you might have a look at these remedies. there was a dentist that used to tune into minutus who spoke of using hecla lava a lot.

You'll probably find it regardless of spelling at Helios. Usually it's spelled either "Hecla lava" or "Hekla lava."

Neither - for the abscess. Silicea is useful even when the dentist wants to do a root canal saying that their antibiotics won't penetrate thus there is no alternative. The pain would be the by-product of the true problem which is the infection.
