possibly off-topic? Rimkus HRT method

Post by Vera Resnick »

Would appreciate help on this - one of my patients, unsure about whether to follow through with homeopathy, is thinking of going to a Dr. Volker Rimkus who has developed a method of dealing with male and female menopause using "natural hormones". She had a hysterectomy and ovaries removed, and has since been suffering from menopausal symptoms. She's in her mid-40s. I've given her Platina in the past which helped her, and gave her Lachesis - hard to tell what that did as two days later she started hormonal treatment saying "your remedies don't work..." (all of which I discovered when she finally resumed contact). She's now considering doing this treatment with Dr. Rimkus, who is based in Germany as far as I understand, and has asked for an opinion. She's having a lot of bad side effects from the hormonal treatment and has stopped.
Does anyone have an opinion? has anyone heard of the guy? the English section of the website seems limited and my German isn't up to the longer info there or the material that came up from Google.
Thanks,
Vera

If after seeing the Plat. help her and giving up on the Lach in favor of HORMONAL therapy before it even had a chance pretty much spells out that her mind is made up and that she is seeking approval of sorts. I would consider telling her that I believe in the power of homeopathy and am not familiar with natural hormonal therapies however I would certainly respect her wishes should she choose that over homeopathy. This is a no win situation for you and your giving any sort of approval may come back to bite you!

Grace & Peace :-)

Given that uterus and ovaries were removed, is it perhaps appropriate
to have some replacement? Or have people found that unnecessary?
