Ear problem...
Dear Experts,
I have a dry Perforation(hole) in my right ear which is in Post Central area since 10 years and it is of moderate size. No pus or discharge but little pain once in a while. ENT doctor suggested to undergo Myringoplasty micro surgery. I am little afraid of surgeries and so I postponed it. No other ear related problems that I can tell you.
Is there any treatment in homeopathy so that the perforation gets closed?
Thank you so much,
Murali

Please see a local professional Homeopath as Calendula 200 has been known to heal a hole in the eardrum!!

Re: Ear problem...
Rochelle,
Thanks for a quick reply.
In the past, I consulted atleast 3 homeopaths and all of them told that surgery is the only option. I would like to try Calendula 200 and see if it works.
May I know how many days do I need to take it?
Thanks,
Murali

Hi Murali-
How come you are ready to believe someone in a discussion group than
a homeopath who saw you and your reports in person. What Rochelle ( I
think) was trying to do was give some encouragement and an opinion,
not a consultation or prescription....
My suggestion is to get a qualified homeopath ( like BHMS or DHMS in
India) and who has a lot of experience to give an opinion.
It is not wrong to try Calendula- but even then it might be better
to take Rochelle's suggestion to one of those doctors you consulted
and suggest it to him/her so if there are any reactions to Calendula
you can have a good follow-up-

Re: Ear problem...
Thanks for that H2002. You are correct as it was theoretical encouragement
but I agree it needs to be done under the auspices of a professional
homeopath. I don't know how long Murali has had the hole. If a long time
then maybe surgery is the only option. However if it is flaring up and
getting inflamed then I would say that the edges could possibly granulate
and close up with Calendula. Is Dr Roz out there tonight for expert advice?

Re: Ear problem...
May be you should take it as a blessing in disguise. 10yrs long standing.
Google "Myringotomy" where a tiny hole is crated artificially by surgery.
You may be more comfortable than normal humans,
during plane Landing or inside express elevators where pressure
fluctuate rapidly.
If it doesn't hurt you, leave it at that, wait & watch.
This tiny hole helps equalize inside & outside ear pressure during such
fluctuations.
I have not tried Calendula - Q drops inside ears, but in theory may help
close the hole.
But honestly may be risky to try.
Calendula 200 pills are least risky.

Re: Ear problem...
Hi All,
Thank you so much to you all who replied to my email.
In my past experience no homeopathy doctor even looked into my ear to see the problem. When I tell them I have perforation then the immediate answer was there is no treatment in homeopathy.
So I was wondering if at all there was any case that any one of you cured in the past.
I will be in India next month and will discuss with my doctor about the thoughts that you guys provided me.
Please reply me if any of you have any suggestion for me. I will update in future if at all perforation heals by medicines.
Thanks Again,
Murali
