A genuine question:

Is the "classics" the basics for Sankaran and Scholten?

If so: how?

Yes, the "basics" apply. Both Scholten and Sankaran have been homeopaths for
many years. Sankaran is part of a long family line of homeopaths. They
identify themselves as classical homeopaths. They've experimented clinically
based on their observations and their desire to get better results.

If you know their theoretical ideas, you will recognize when a case presents
itself so that one or the other system might shed some light on it. But you
still have to know the basics of casetaking, direction of cure, symptom
priorities, etc... No matter how tempting it is to look only at a "core
sensation," for instance, the remedy still won't work unless it actually
fits the totality of the case.
