fellow with brain tumor

Post by Carol Orr »

I can't get any good symptoms out of this fellow. He took lachesis water doses
for 3 months last fall. He is in chemo off and on. tumor has not grown nor
gotten smaller. i recently wrote him asking for any better or worse symptoms
from before he got ill or even when he was a child. He is better from crying
when he hears sad music and worse from being lied to. I got that information
last fall. Other than that he doesn't "act" like someone who has cancer. I
gave him arnica 30 six months ago and told him i might tell him to take it one
day(he did have a nasty fall on his head where the tumor is when he was
14..now he is 32 but then after asking him one more time for symptoms he sent
me the following:

" I understand why you need to know all these details and truly appreciate all
the time you have wasted on me, and trying to heal me. But I'm completely
exhausted of thinking about myself. I get up everyday and have to have a good
attitude, a great one in fact, to fight this stupid Cancer. It's exhausting.
I'm tired and bored of myself. I need a vacation from me."

(He hasn't taken the arnica.) But I'm wondering if anyone with more experience
than me can glean anything from that paragraph he has written. normally...just
talking about other stuff...mutual friends, etc..he is talkative...and kind of
witty and friendly and supportive but firm on his own perceptions. . We
haven't actually talked about symptoms since last year...so its not like i'm
badgering him for symptoms. He had broken up with his girlfriend six months
before he had his first of two convulsions and then they found the tumor. So
its almost like he thinks if he doesn't act like he has a tumor..that that is
a good thing...a way of fighting it. I thought of arnica for that
reason...acts like not sick when they are sick..and because of the head
injury...which if any of you remember...his parents never took him to a
doctor..as if they didn't care.

He has a very sarcastic side I've been told and was always angry with his
girlfriend for being stupid which meant not remembering things that he told
her. a friend who saw the two together said he was very mean to her. So stupid
girlfriend gone and replaced by stupid tumor. He said once about her that she
would say things that would make him want to blow his brains out...but he
would just go into another room. His father was loud and mean and his mother
was japanese and very quiet and non demonstrative.

So i recently read something..probably on e homeopathy site...about no clear
modalities the sicker one is. But i'm hoping someone gets some ideas from what
i've written. Thank you for any help.

i dont know if this is helpful, but i dont think it
that unusual for people to get tired of their problems.
i have a friend with some debilitating chronic problems
who says, " i want to be normal, do normal things like
go to the movies or dinner or go have tea with a friend."
i have heard things like this from others, too. i can
say the same thing about myself. there is a point when
repeating the traumas and pains of one's life just wears
out personal interest and it becomes boring to listen
to oneself talk about it anymore. this might be seen
as a positive in the sense of someone wanting to think
about something more pleasant, fun, hopeful in life. one
needs a break from such depressing details which keeps
dragging a person back into the 'sick' space. it may also
be a reflection of a level of acceptance and an attempt
to work around the problem as opposed to having it become
the center of life.
the sarcasm and referrence to 'stupid' people/things can
be a censorious feature, supercilious attitudes towards
others. but you have probably already factored this in.
do these attitudes reflect underlying fears/insecurities?
how do you summarize the symbolism of the head tumors?
a swell head? a kick in the head? etc.

Dear carol,
I studied all levels of case and symptoms repertiosed as under;
1.Ailments from disappointment
2.wearisome
3.cancerous affections
4.head tumors
5.ailments from grief ,suffer in silience.
Best remedy for above symptoms is PH-AC .

Hi, Carol.
Another interesting find, this rubric -- with both Arn and Graph, and a few other interesting remedies as well.

HEAD - TUMORS - Brain

aeth. apom. arn. aur-i. Bar-c. bell. calc. cham. Con. glon. graph. hydr. Kali-i. Plb. PLB-I. sep. sulph. Thuj. zinc-s.

I'd choose a remedy that deals with brain tumors, but otherwise, the information you have doesn't yet seem to add up to a cohesive case. This, of course, is where things get interesting. Is Aur-i or Aur a possibility? -- it strikes me that his amelioration from weeping from sad music is somehow important -- central, perhaps a bit unusual, and that it would be a homeopathic reaction --- sad music bringing up and corresponding with his underlying sadness. Also, he's basically a responsible person, dutifully acting cheerful, although that's the last thing he seems to feel. And he has a lot of grievance, it sounds like, with his parents (one or both??) for not taking his teenage head injury seriously?? This could also put him in Aurum territory. Again, just musings. You'll have to get him talking freely about something, past or present, to get a better sense of his core dispositions.

Good luck!
Rosemary

Dear Tina
Please explain WHY 30 drops of 10M, 3 times per day for three days.
What would happen if given 1 dose of 10M?

Regards

Soroush

Hi,
I remember seeing posts, Ruta 6 works for brain tumors, I don't remember
resources.
If you google for "brain tumor ruta 6 homeopathy"
you might get plenty links.
Honestly I have no answers for any further queries on ruta 6.

this is most interesting considering the recent
conversations regarding the 'validity' of homeopathy
