A kind of magic? - retired hurt
I think the magic has worn off of this topic. And we have been
coming at it from different threads with the same result. And if we
ourselves have so much attitude no wonder it is difficult to
convince the allopathic field.
I have never considered myself classical or even as strictly
following Hahnemann or the organon ( David Little and Sheri can
vouch for that). I have argued time and time again for a review and
revision of Organon. I have also supported Combos being sold in
pharmacies since that will be good introduction to Lay people and if
some homeopaths found it useful - so be it. I have never seen them
more harmful than allopathic drugs- theoretically and practically.
Still I felt that we need to understand what would be homeopathy and
what is not and this whole shooting game ensued. It has become so
tiring as planning for positing camels on a pinhead - never going to
happen. It is waste to argue since anything goes in neo-homeopathy
and we are not going to change anything anywhere. We cannot change
things even in this forum let alone anywhere else in homeopathy.
As for as allopathy banning homeopathy - if anything goes in
homeopathy - we do not need the name of homeopathy to practice. We
can practice Homeopathy under another name with no one in allopathy
any the wiser. We might call it E-Pathy ( Everything pathy).
Convenient to define as well...
So what the heck..
I officially retire from this ping-pong game. No more posts from me
on what constitutes homeopathy. Thanks John, Shannon, Luis and
others for a spirited debate.

Freedo of health choice is like freedom of religious choice - and a
person of one religion jhas no need to "convince" a memeebr of a
differnt religion.
What we need here is simply a constittuioanl right to the health option
we choose - that is health freedom. If allopaths want allopathy - fine -
but it is not for them to dictate what we want - any more than Catholics
can dictate religion to Jews or vice versa.
USA simply needs religious freedom AND health freedom - in the constitution.
We do not ask the Methodists or 7th Day Adventists or any other religion
to make freedom of religion laws - it would not be in their interests!
It's a constitutional principle separate from ANY specific religion.
Nor should we need allopaths to make freedom of health laws - it is not
in their interests and they will never do it whether they understand
homeopathy or not.
What's needed is freedom of choice for health - not some acceptance by
one system of another system. As with religion - it's asking for
something that will never happen.
WHY do we not work for a constitutional amendment to have freedom of
choice of health care in the same way the constitution protects freedom
of choice of religion. I see nothing else worth working for with
allopaths. Freedom of choice is in the interests of all but those who
wish to control others against their will - hardly an ethical desire.
When it comes to a vote of the people (not a vote of allopathy or drug
companies) for a constitutional amendment - there IS a chance for
freedom of choice and for ethics.
It's the general population we need to educate - in favour of choice -
not in favour of homeopathy.

Hi Irene,
I have to contradict.
In Germany and (most of) Europe there is freedom of therapy - and
Europe at present seems to bear the brunt of the attacks - and the
brunts are painful already.
I suggest you read my mail with subject "Nosodes".

Hi Luise,
I'm not sure which part of Irene's post you are contradicting, but in
the US our health freedoms are definitely at risk. There was recently
another (posted here, I think?) about forcible vaccinations in
Maryland; children have been removed from their families over the
parents' refusal to have them treated with "approved" methods, incl.
one boy whose cancer had been evidently *cured* by holistic methods--no
sign of it left--yet the court ordered him to undergo chemotherapy
anyway. Are you familiar with examples such as this?

freedom of health amendment? nice idea but
it wont happen in our life times. health is
a state's rights issue ---except when you have
the fda on a national level pushing legislation
to legalize enforced vaccination other acts of
medical fascism. it seems that whatever health
movement there is for holistic health care is
consumed with trying to keep the fda under control
and working on individual states for local bills.
but, yes, people need put in their time, big time
or we are going down.

Re: A kind of magic? - retired hurt
I've been "intrigued" at the fact that one hears NOTHING about the
issues in the news, or in the papers, or in anything public. Nothing
on TV, nothing in the "mainstream" press. Well, every rare
once-in-a-while there will be some brief coverage about e.g. a child
being taken away (or parents threatened with it) because the parents do
want want their child to e.g. go thru chemo, or take ADD drugs; I
*think* all of the cases I've been aware of were one or the other.
But no mention of CODEX, no expressions of concern at the idea that
parents are not necessarily allowed to choose their children's health
care (in the recent case, actually, the "child" was 16 and wanted
nothing to do with the docs--which apparently made no difference to
anyone except the parents).
Next tuesday our congressperson (Tammy Baldwin) is having a "listening
session" nearby, which I hope to be able to go to. Would anyone in US
(I am in Wisconsin) like to help me get ideas about what I might bring
up to her? I want to ask what she knows / thinks about CODEX and
"health freedoms", and will try to (gag) read up a bit between now and
then--tucked around Thanksgiving, sigh... But I would welcome ideas
and references, if anyone has suggestions. The gathering will be in a
smallish town, so I *might* get a chance for a semi-meaningful minute
or two; never been to one, so don't really know what it will be like.

in the middle of a war why be polite...
we don't hear about issues in the press because they intentionally
black out the information. you get the fear mongering like in
maryland where parents are terrorized into compliance with
mass enforced vaccinations regardless of history--this despite
the fact that the state atty general says there is no state
mandate for vaccinations!
there is a poll on msnbc online about this very issue.
i found there a link to an article about a law suit of a parent whose 4
month
old died from childhood cold medicines. this is another of those
barely covered stories: fda notes that otc could medicines are
useless to harmful for children under 6 mos.
on codex: if you go to rima laibow's website Natural solutions foundation
there is much information, including a good online video that you can watch.
her website has generated thousands, upon thousands of messages to the
fda and congress about codex. the process, as per usual, is a series of
legislative steps that slowly erode our DSHEA regs that protect our access
to herbs,
food supplements and protocols like homeopathy. and i am sure that
congress
has done little to inform itself about the rules of codex anymore now than
they
did when they voted on it as part of the CAFTA treaty a couple of summers
ago.
good luck with your congressional meeting. they can be informative, even
in the
negative.
