knees
Hi Tanya,
There are different salts for the different knee presentations.
I gave my 70lb canine: calc flour, calc phos and mag phos, 6x, 3 to 4
times each day.
He loved them & would sit in front of me w/his paw raised asking for
more.
He was an artic wolf that I took from a sm rescue org because he was
a behavior problem – beautiful but so wild that no one would adopt
him.
He was neutered already by the time I got him at 4 months and I have
wondered if his legs went early, at 11 yrs old, because he was fixed
so early. He was between 80 – 85 lbs in his prime and very
strong/athletic/active.
He was seeing a hom vet but the remedies were not keeping him mobile
so I resorted to the salts.
Best,
Lynn

Re: knees
thanks. i dont have any practical experience with
cell salts but they seem so useful from others
posts. i think i will try them with my cat's
arthritis and possibly my own.
is there any experience with them regarding bone
regeneration?

Re: knees
There will be an excellent (IMO) article on cell salts, perhaps with a mini-repertory, in the next issue of Homeopathy Today, I believe. It covers such uses, though is geared to people, not animals. Teresa (Northern VA)
PS Homeopathy Today is an NCH publication, bi-monthly, for members of NCH. Very useful for lay homeopaths and for practitioners to put out in their waiting rooms. It is possible to get a subscription to 10 (or more) magazines per issue at a greatly reduced rate for practitioners, though the magazines have to be given away, or sold at the cover price of about $5 each. My practitioner puts 10 issues out in his waiting room every two months and they certainly get taken home and used. Helps new patients get the idea of what homeopathy is and can do.

Re: knees
Our wonderful homeopath really hooked my husband on being treated
constitutionally with the idea that it just might be possible to get my
husband (58) back to running again through miasmatic treatment. At least
that is our doctor's goal for my husband, in the long run. The thought had
never occurred to me, much as I trust homeopathy to be able to work
miracles!
Husband has not run for about 9 years because of knee pain. Even had
microsurgery to no avail. When he finally began taking
glucosamine/chondroitin in supplements about 7 years ago, the daily knee
pain eased off. He has little pain now, but when he has tried to run again,
it has come back. He is able to use an elliptical trainer and/or a
stair-stepper and does so daily, but he would really like to run outside
again. Maybe with competent miasmatic treatment it is possible... I'll be
back in touch in a couple of years on that. Teresa (Northern VA)
Dear Teresa,
Your husband will certainly run again.
I had mild spinal stenosis in early August 2005 leading to scoliosis at age 56. I started research into homeopathy, treating myself with Hypericum - Ruta - Calc. I also signed up for the Hutch Delhi Half Marathon Oct 2005- starting practise in end august 2005 - could not run 10 steps to begin with- fingers, toes , knee joints would all swell up. Ran and walked 21 kilometres in Oct 2005 in 3 hours 7 minutes. Slightly better by Jan 2006 - ran and walked the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, 42 kilometres in 7 hours 20 minutes - backache, lot of swelling of joints and extremeties - could not even walk after completing run.
For the knee joints I did take oxalicum acidum and fluoricum acidum amongst other emedies. Also Constitutional treatment, various remedies, continued including dewormimg with Cina 6C. Presently Veratrum Viride 6C in water daily.
Ran and walked 21 kilometres in Oct 2006 in 2 hours 53 minutes. In Jan 2007 - ran and walked the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, 42 kilometres in 7 hours 10 minutes. (The day was extremely hot for January.) Swelling, backache and discomfort after the run but less than the previous year.
Ran 10 kilometres, walked 1 kilometre and ran 10 kilometres in Oct 2006 in 2 hours 43 minutes. No discomfort and no swelling except of the fingers of both hands. No backache. In Jan 2008 at age 59 - ran 21 kilometres, right thigh joint cramp, then walked 21 kilometres in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, in 6 hours 55 minutes. No discomfort except right thigh joint cramp and no swelling except of the fingers of both hands. No backache.
Aiming to run the half marathon in under 2 hours 30 minutes in Oct 2008 and the full marathon in under 6 hours in Jan 2009.
Before 2005 the longest run I ever did was 16 kilometres in 1968. I could walk long distances but never needed to run in last 35 years.
Best of luck.
Regards.
