I appreciate the lively discussions and thoughtful responses on minutus

Are you aware that using capital letters is akin to
SHOUTING/SCREAMING/YELLING at someone when used in
email or on bulletin boards?
Is is incredibly hard to read (for some) and is
considered bad form by most, at least in all the
forums and mailing lists I have been a member
of/participated in?
Hi Simone,
No, I didn't know. I feel like a kid saying profanities she didn't
understand! I hope my attempt at humor mitigated my unconscious screaming!

my friends and I created a litmus test when we were teenagers 14-17 years
old (1985) after a long group conversation HOW WOULD WE KNOW WE WERE READY??
Our Litmus test
would be to project forward that scenario mentally if we became pregnant -
is this
the right person, time etc. if there are so many no's -probably you are not
ready as a person for the added responsibilities of relationships /sex/
taking on another person and need to pay attention to your needs and
development first.
Hi Jas,
That is really beautiful. I appreciate all you had to say in your message.
I'll always remember that the boyfriend I first had sex with had earlier had
a talk with his father, who urged him never to have sex with someone he
wouldn't want to marry. It would have been wise for me to take that advice
myself in my youth!

Theories there are many, but I would like to share my own expirience with
you:
In my psychotherapy I remembered the feeling of being in the uterus in the
early pregnancy (my arms still being stumps) .It was not "watching my house
being built", not at all.
It was being COMPLETELY IN THERE surrounded by my mother´s emotions without
any possibility to escape, our common feeling of sickness, her digust, her
vomiting, as if she rather wanted to spit me out. Quite frightening to me.
Nowadays general feeling of mine towards the world and myself is very
similar to what I felt then.
Hi Irene,
I have a client who reports similar feelings, that she can remember the
feeling of being trapped in her mother's womb, saturated in toxic energy.

There has to be concerted
effort to value the work and contribution of people like Melissa Assilem in
our studies, as well as people like Sankaran and Scholten. If we don't
alert people to the bias in our studies, then they'll think none
exists--such a waste! When we can easily take steps to alleviate the bias
after all, just by valuing the work of the women in homeopathy too.
Hi Nancy,
Don't forget Divya Chhabra! She is absolutely incredible. She goes to
profound depths in case receiving, using free association to draw out
material from the unconscious that is crucial in finding the simillimum.
She is able to find remedies that tie everything in the case together, and
teaches a clear method for achieving this. She's brilliant and dynamic!

Whilst we were discussing abortion, one of the reasons given for the wish to
have an abortion was if the child was the product of an incestuous
relationship. This was passed very quickly without comment or discussion.
Disgusting and worrying though it is - and although frowned up on by most
cultures, it seems that a number of fathers sexually assault their daughters
(and sons) and some brothers their sisters. There are of course cases of
sexual relationships between mothers and sons but I guess it is rare.
Hi Soroush,
I found this interesting tidbit in the introduction of my edition of Kent's
Repertory, published by the Homeopathic Book Service. I pass it on without
comment, just an invitation to reflection: "Research is currently going on
with a view to producing a new biography of Dr. Kent, as it appears that the
accepted accounts of Kent's life may be in need of some revision. An
example of this is the significance placed by some on the names of Dr.
Kent's parents as entered on the birth certificate. From a study of the
Kent family it appears that these are the names of an elder brother and
sister, and an inference has been drawn that this was a case of incest. If
this is true, I would only offere the comment that we should simply all be
grateful that the pregnancy was allowed to go full term, for if it had not
been then homeopathy would have been deprived of the second most illuminous
star in its firmament."
Yes, it has certainly become apparent that a taboo does not necessarily act
as a preventive, only as a effective means to silence discussion of the
taboo subject.
One of my clients was repeatedly abused sexually by his mother, aunt, and
sister. (In fact, he is the client who is addicted to drugs, whose case I
was soliciting advice about earlier.) Sexual abuse of boys may be less
reported because of the societal expectation that boys should enjoy sex and
are "lucky" to experience it however they can.
Blessings,
Charlotte
