We think it is better!!
I have given her sac lac in a bottle to sip when she feels like it and she got through the bottle the first day I gave it so I told her to refill it!! She is also doing EFT.
I just wonder if there is anything I can give to make the rash fade faster so she can get back to work as she is not really ill but as Sheri suggests this could be suppressive!!

Well, to the extent that the rash has to do with toxins and infection,
maybe nutritional support such as vitamins A, C, E and liver support?
And/or herbs such as golden seal?

If this were my case I would *definitely* be looking for her
(preexisting) chronic remedy (assuming, as is my understanding, that
there's been no apparent change with the rash, other than the fear from
looking at it; which I would definitely for a relationship with her
chronic remedy), and I do think that would be my starting point. Or if
it's not feasible to get in a full casetaking, then the nutritional and
herbal stuff would be next.

Is looking for chronic/constitutional remedy an option that this point?

I don't really think so. Mum knows the way I work so if she wants me she will call.

I have seen many deep and serious infections in patients with an almost non functional immune system......to me, the absence of fever in a general infectious disease is worrisome.
The only case of scarlet fever I treated had general symptoms and fever, needed Pulsatilla and became pink within 30 minutes, exhausted the next day, swab became negative after 24 hours.
I don't have to tell you what to do, but I would combine her complaints, symptoms and signs with those 2 rubrics found in the Complete Repertory:
Fever, Heat; ERUPTIVE fevers; Scarlatina, in (p, 91, 10-88)
Fever, Heat; ABSENT (p, 50, 11-28)

And see what comes out.

Dear Dr Roz,
That is exactly why I suggested that her doctor check her out as I didn't want the responsibility of a complication. (My son got thrombocytopenia after a mild chicken pox. ) The doctor has given her the all clear and said to rest!! No throat swab has been taken but then that is typical of UK medical system!!
I will add the fever absence to her symptoms in my rep.
OK I have done that and the main Rx that appears for Scarlet fever, Fever heat absent, despair of recovery are Ars 2,1,4 Sulphur 2,3,1 Lyco 3,2,1, Hepar 1,2,1 Caust 1,2,1,
Ok I can see Ars because of the anxiety about her health with this but it is only a 1 for heat absent which is a SRP.
If I add strawberry tongue and the red throat I don't really get much further. Ars is a Rx which follows Aconite well and Sulphur is complementary, similar and antidoting to Aconite. I just feel I haven't really got enough to prescribe definitely by except the fear when looking at the rash and the disease name and Ars and Aconite are the main interesting ones.
Do you really feel that homeopathy can fade the rash and red throat (which doesn't bother her ) any faster or would it be better to hope that the rash is getting rid of the toxins out of her system which is what I have told her it is doing?!!

The problem is the real risk of glomerulonephritis and/or heart/valve disease that is potentially present.
I would try to accelerate the case with a homeopathic prescription going out of the pure actual symptoms but using the modalities and concomitants a la Boennighausen, whatever has changed or has appeared since the eruption.
And you know that I do not pay very much attention to the numeral value of the symptoms in the repertory, if it is there, it is important IMO.

Tried all that!! No difference in thirst, reaction to light. She did have a craving for steak and kidney pie one night!!! The only thing is the fear when she looks at the rash (hence the Aco 10M) which is why she keeps it covered with her clothes so she doesn't have to view it and the only Rx that comes to mind there is Thuja!! What is the fear and panic about? That the rash won't go away, that it is something very serious because it is not normal. I hate to say it but is this 18 yr old trying to tell me something? Another reason why I insisted mum call the doctor to check her over today.

Body image? Fear of being disfigured? Disgust with herself for whatever reason?
Put her on the rack and light the coals.............I always tell my patients that I have been trained by the KGB and that they will tell me everything and more....... :-))

From Parimal Banerji ‘s experience and Materia Medica
BELLADONNA 3
GROUP F - 1

Throat very red and sore.

Mucous membrane of the throat from the soft palate down the pharynx looks absolutely red and inflamed. Often there is burning.

Dryness of mouth prominent.

Tonsils are also inflamed, red and enlarged.

There is not that much of cough as is expected from such inflammations, but there may be pain more while swallowing, but otherwise also a painful throat.

Burning in the affected throat is also a character in many cases.

Swelling may be outside the throat too.

Scarlet fever, in any stage or acute throat infections from any cause.
Dose Every three or five hours.
Note Whenever in such cases tonsils are more affected and cough due to this is prominent, then after Belladonna 3, Hepar Sulphur 200 gets better scope of working. Bell. has the redness and pain as its characteristic. When the pain in throat is more only while swallowing, then Merc. cyn. 200 and when the glands outside the neck or parotids get swollen, then Belladonna 30 and Merc. 200 work better. But the symptoms mentioned in this group which have been responded to Belladonna 3 were mostly found in the cases of scarlet fever. The defects of the old Materia Medicas are, that, the concurrent symptoms not being mentioned in one group as "Parimal Effect" of a disease on a particular constitution, anybody who reads those Materia Medicas of Hering, Hahnemann, Kent, Hughes, and others, will use Belladonna in symptoms as mentioned in this group, in diseases other than scarlet fever or acute infection to throat, and experience failures. Even when symptoms of this Group and some symptoms of other disease influence present in a man are considered together, then that will lead to an incorrect selection of another drug for failure. The very symptoms mentioned above are not related to fever and will equally work when there is no fever.
GROUP P - I

Scarlet fever.

Sudden onset of fever.

Tonsils and fauces and pharynx are red and inflamed, scarlet red. Sore throat, acute.

Vomiting generally present with the rise of temperature.

Red blush all over the skin, disappears on pressure, and red punctate erythema, slightly raised in dots all over the body.
Dose Twice a day, in acute cases every three to four hours.
Note Hahnemann had used it with success in this disease and also found it to be very useful as a prophylactic. During the treatment of this disease only, he discovered the powers of a drug when diluted to infinitesimal.
As a prophylactic Bell. 30 is better, Bell. 3 acts better when the fever is less and in this disease there occurs no notable mental symptom.
BELLADONNA 30
GROUP F - 1

Erysipelas on face.

Scarlet redness of face and skin with great cerebral action, swollen face. The skin where inflammation is there, it is very hot to touch.
Dose Every five or six hours.
Note Graphites 200 twice a day has cured many such conditions equally or better where no such redness. Consult PBG for other drugs for this. Apis has got burning in addition but not Great burning.
GROUP G - 1

Prophylactic against scarlet fever, mumps.
Dose : Twice a day during epidemic and where chances of contagion are there.

I tried that when I said "Have you never had acne" She replied yes and that this was OK because it was normal for people to have acne but not normal to have this disfiguring rash!!!! I'll give it another couple of days and phone again!!
