I have a question about hot and cold remedies, which
interests me very much now. Silica is in the list of
Dr Gibson Miller's cold remedies, but it has
aggravation both from warmth and from cold. It is
usually described as very chilly.
Can we give Silica to a person who is not usually
chilly? Both warmth and cold are not good for him,
some kind of cool weather is optimal. Mostly physical
symptoms correspond to Silica, not mental. Maybe I am
wrong in the interpretation of symptoms in this case,
but I am interested in the general approach to the
choice of hot and cold remedies. Will the modality
"warmth or cold " always restrict our choice of
remedies? Can we give a "hot" remedy to a person who
is not always "hot"?
Michael

Re: hot and cold remedies
Yes - there are no strict hot or cold remedies- Just filtering out a
group of remedies on the first instance itself based on a thermal
modality is not good. Most of the remedies have local exceptions to
the general rule- generally cold but warm in some regions and might
end up thrown out unnecessarily when they are needed,
Use them as a general guide but not as infallible rules...
